Survivor Perks / Not being Character wide
Hey guys,
I was musing over the fact that the survivors generally get to a point where eventually they just become reskins, you level up a char, get the teachables etc and you have 5-6 characters with same perks and it's just what offering you have or what visual aspect of survivor you want to play.
How do you think it would go down, if maybe only one perk could be transferred to another survivor but the other two are character specific and can only be used on that particular character, so if you want to play a healing build you'd pick Claudette, a team gen build Dwight etc.
This could benefit the killer strategy wise, but yeah I like the survs as having more identity than just a reskin.

If this was the way it was from the start I think it would have been fine but if they implemented this change in an update it would cause the biggest uproar in dbd history and we've seen a few of those in this community! In my opinion I think it's fine as is and allows for freedom and player choice which is important in games like this... So I'm not personally for it... That and the balance issues it could potentially cause think full Claudette lobbies every game yikes!

Interesting, this wouldnt require much coding either

My main question with regards to this is "Is it too late to make such a big change to the Survivor side of things?"

It's fine the way it is.

This has been discussed many times, the problem is you don't then have meta perks you end up with meta characters, the one which is considered the best with the perks available is all you would see.
The only way I see around it is to give set bonuses base to character, like Claudette botany is 5% faster, meg Q&Q recharges 10% faster, Jake sabo is 5% faster.
Mainly the perks which aren't so meta on chars but can give just a little but more for using them.

That kills what survivor I want to play, leaving Claudette everywhere to help run self care better

Claudettes, Claudettes as far as the eye can see.

What if self care was a standard generalised perk and Claudette had something different? I do agree it's very much a case of is it too late but still raises a question I think. Just don't like how the end game of the survs is just skin swap city
