Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Blight, Pain Res Pop in every match

Idk if it's MMR or something, but i always, face blight with those two perks, like 30% of pickrate, in mid and high mmr on my both account ...

This meta is kinda boring

Yeah that sounds like mid-high to high MMR.

Unless other killers get buffs I don't see Blight going anywhere. Weaker killers just can't compete up there. I would personally enjoy that as variety would be nice, but we have to consider the average gamer who already struggle against even mid tier killers.

Perks can change at any time though. A new chapter with good perks or number tweaks is all it takes. Even a shift on the survivor side can change killer perks.

If you're facing a high pick rate of certain perks, it could be indicative of a dominant or favored strategy in the current meta (metagame). This can indeed lead to a repetitive and potentially less enjoyable gaming experience.

Blight is a very popular killer and these 2 perks are pretty much no brainers on him. So it's not that surprising that many people will use this combination. It is however surprising that you face that many of them. Maybe it's just a streak of bad luck?

Regardless, I hope you will see some more variety soon.

They seriously need to find a way to stop stacking Pop and PR. This combo is so busted on strong killers.

Yeah, I am tired of seeing PGTW/Pain Res on every Killer. And then Killers have the audacity to complain about Deja-vu while they run two way stronger Regression-Perks.

And it is even more annoying when you face strong Killers using that Combination. Alchemist Ring-Blight with PGTW and Pain Res, yay. Or Nurse with Mangled Add On and PGTW/Pain Res.

I really dislike this low-effort Slowdown-Meta. Hitting someone should not grant you an instant Slowdown via Healing. Hooking someone should not cause that much Regression.

I never see blights in my games and they're fun to play against

at least for me but i get that for those who see it every match with the same builds could get frustrating and boring.

There's this Wesker player who I always encounter that only uses NOED + Pain resonance + Ultimate Weapon + PGTW and it really gets to my head. Build diversity should be a priority rn.

PGTW is low effort regression? That's about as high effort as it gets. I'm sick of having borderline perfect chases on lower tier killers and losing almost 3 gens for it because all survivors have to do is predrop some god pallets to waste tons of time

And meanwhile meta survivor perks are literally 0 effort. Come off the hook full HP for 80 seconds, get up off the ground for free and faster, just do gens faster with no downsides, etc etc

PGTW + Pain Res are literally the only reason you can do some target swapping on lower tier killers at higher MMRs. Otherwise it would legit be hard tunnel out the first person you see at 5 gens and there's no other strategy. Gen defense is now dead with the latest update and PGTW alone isn't enough to slow down 3x survivors all sitting on gens while you swap targets

The sad thing is, it is still most of the time hard tunnel. Dont act like the existence of PGTW and Pain Res let Killers play nice.
