Is lightweight a good perk?

Does tier 3 mean my track marks will be a pain in the butt for anyone not using predator?

Scratch marks last 7 seconds by default. With lightweight 3 you reduce that down to 4. This can make certain jungle gyms a great way to lose a killer or to make your tracks apear older than they actually are. In high rank play the perks usefulness will drop off but you can still make a few memorable escapes.

Its underrated. If you rather lose a Killer than loop him and still run around a lot not in a chase then this perk is for you.

I’ve been using lightweight a bit here and there it definitely helps if you’re good at gaining distance before danger is close. So in chases meh, in stealth and playing wise very good. Especially if you’re a gen jockey.

So so to further explain in scenario: you see/hear the killer coming from a distance. You can run off before they get close with lightweight there’s no time for them to follow your tracks from where you ran off from Bc they’ll of disappeared by then. They’ll likely spend time checking the area of the progressed gen looking for you due to no scratch marks.

Can make a mean meme build, with Lightweight, Dance With Me, Lithe and Quick & Quiet can be hilarious to throw off Killers chasing/looking for you xD

Not a super strong build, but could potentially mindgame the ######### outta Killers

Its so good. My current build is lightwight, quick and quiet, sprint burst and adrenaline. Seems to be working really well for me.

Especially with the new perk head on coming, oh boy.

Actually is one of my most used perks

I use those perks on Kate and I escape chases 90% of the time after a vault. It's a one trick pony but satisfying as hell.

It's better than people give it credit for, but it's not completely overpowered.

If you like running a lot to get from point A to point B or if you notice killers like to follow your scratch mark trail all the time, it helps.

Sometimes it can hurt as well, where if you are circling a blind spot the added scratch marks could actually confuse the killer but with lightweight less so.

It is tough because you cannot see if it is helping you or not, you kind of have to trust it blindly.

I can't tell you how powerful it is, but i can say that i seem to lose more killers with this perk than without it, and i never run an exhaustion perk like SB or Lithe.

It's really underrated. I've lost killers by simply running straight through jungle gyms. The scratchmarks disappear so fast that killers assume I've stopped running and is now walking around that gym.

It works quite well with Spine Chill. Say you're working on a gen, you get heads up The Killer is coming via Spine Chill, you start running. By the time The Killer gets there, you'll be out and all they'll see are faded scratch marks if any at all, and they'll have no clue where you are.

I've had many Killers search the area thinking I couldn't have run due to a lack of scratch marks. Wastes their time, and time is the most valuable resource for The Killer.

Scratch marks take 7 seconds before they disappear. Remove 3 seconds, you can escape a killer 4 seconds before they check the area. It's saved my a## so many times, I can't even NOT use it.

I've never noticed it helping me, but Quick N Quiet has helped me a lot. And my favorite exhaustion perk is Lithe so. Meh, guess they go good together after all.

I've spectated a P3 Claudette on Rank 6 using Quick N Quiet, Urban Evasion, Dance With Me and Lightweight against a myers. It was hysterical watching him get mindboggled over and over. She made it to the hatch while he was all the way on the other side of the map.

Its seriously underrated imo. I use it with spine chill. When spine chill activates and the killer is on the way i leave. Its amazing how many times the killer reaches the gen and has absolutely no idea where i went. Give it a try

I now use lightweight, quick and quiet, head on, adrenaline. I defintely would use dance with me if I had it! Seems like such a helpful perk. Head on completes my build.

Honestly. I feel it should be buffed solely to make it LOOK better rather than for the purpose of actually making it better (because everyone here has pointed out how good it is)

For example if it reduced footstep noise then it would appear to be a much more desirable perk despite that not really doing anything 9/10 times
