Is dead by daylight killer sided or survivor sided?

I wanna know what others think the game is..

Also give an actual example of it being a certain side don't just spam "its killer sided" or "survivor sided"

in average pub matches killer is easily the best at the TOP level its survivor still (this doesnt happen in public matches)

Neither in my experience. I win around every 5/10 matches most of the time, and this can change on some days but it's not a huge change

According to stats, slightly killer sided.

Its really not that simple since there are just so many different factors its unreal.

Lets use Dredge as an example, using the best possible perks and add ons while going against a group of Survivors that are equally skilled, all with loadouts to match his. This would be a fair fight, but the map is Haddonfield so his power is practically useless and leans heavily towards Survivors. Switch that map to Midwich and all of a sudden it heavily leans towards his side.

Even just loadouts make a big difference, if a Blight with chill perks runs into a group with meta hes at a disadvantage, but reverse it and all of a sudden the he has the upperhand. But then throw a map offering like Lery's or RPD and now it flips again.

Even map RNG makes a difference. Say Billy is on Autohaven and a bunch of loops spawn with Syn-cars hes cookin, but then switch those up with a bunch of other filler loops and now he has a tougher time.

There is no definitive answer to this question and there never will be as long as maps stay randomized and MM doesnt account for add ons.

    Killer.

Your the power role and there's lots of 50/50s in this game nowadays.

SWF>Killer ( unless its full meta slowdown s tier killer)>Solo que

But if you want to look at just the stats, it's killer

It favors whoever brings the stronger stuff for the most part. That includes killers.

If one were to say that the game is simply killer sided, that would mean that even Myers, Trapper and Freddy have the upper hand over the survivors. But if that was the case, then how comes you see few people claim that killers typically associated with B-tier are overpowered? In fact, you see more people call for buffs.

In very low MMR the killer is largely favored (no matter who it is) because 1 killer simply cannot make as many mistakes as 4 survivors. On the highest levels, the game is survivor sided. Only 2 killers (Nurse and Blight) with their best loadouts can tip the scales at that point and most players agree, that these should not exist. So we can't really take that as the average.

dbd is really well balanced actually, a bit survivor sided but nothing super horrendous

Fully depends on the team you get. If survivors use the base tools at their disposal, it can be very survivor sided. You only need 1 weak link to bring the whole team down

yep i win the vast majority of my matches with no perks or weak perks while barely paying attention just based off the fact i have almost 6k hours and thats like 5k+ hours more then the average opponent im not even particularly good or anything. People that have much less experience then me can just slap on pop pain res and call it a day tho, losing more then 30-40% of your killer matches is just a pure skill issue at this point

    I will always say SWF>Killer>SoloQ

    Neither. It's bias-sided.

In public matches/solo queue, probably Killer sided because there's no coordination between Survivors.

Against a SWF or experienced team, it's Survivor sided unless you're using a strong Killer like Spirit or Nurse. Playing a low tier or even average Killer against an experienced SWF is pain.

There's stupid stuff in the game that when used can be abit ridiculous. You have stuff like this that results in survivors being faster than the killer.

This shows some coordination with 1 other teammate. It's the type of thing that generally isn't seen because people like to be able to make plays centered around themselves rather than a teammate, but... frankly this probably shouldn't be possible to begin with.

Depends on which side I'm playing. It's always "the other side" sided!

The game is neither sided- What keeps shifting the balance really is the use of third party comms that most SWFs use. I've seen a YouTuber do an experiment where he gathered completely random survivors who never played together before and did 2 custom matches against them where he used the same killer, same perks, and played on the same map and in the first match he beat them relatively easily, but in the second match he struggled a bit against them and the ONLY difference was that in the first match he didn't allow them to use third party comms whereas in the second match he did allow them to use third party comms.

It's sided towards whichever group is better equipped to win - be it through loadouts, mindset or skill.

This is the order of how easy it is to play the game: SWF>>>>Killer>>Solo queue. Coordinating via comms make it incredibly easy to get 2 or more escapes (so a draw of a win for survivor team), even if the killer is tunneling/camping. My experience as killer is highly variable. Coordinated SWF teams crank out gens and usually win pretty easily, while sometimes I face solo queue teams that don't even get a single gen completed. Other times I'll face good solo queue teams with people who know how to abuse every broken loop and I manage to only get one or two kills.

Experience as solo queue is usually not very good. I'd say at most 1/3 of the matches I get into at are competitive. Most of the time, other survivors will refuse to do gens, waste time blessing totems, or get downed 10 seconds after their chase starts and then kills themselves on hook. I really only play solo queue to try to get better at chases or complete tome challenges/dailies and go into the match not expecting to escape.

    It's not either sided

Both sides have things that they have to deal with...

Putting it like that only makes us focused on one side over the other
