Hillbilly. How?!
Do Hillbillies addons also cooldown basic attack? Or is that a bug or something?
A hillbilly just M1ed me 2 times in like 1 second.
He was revving to me and I tried to drop the pallet on him. I was a bit late and I stunned him but on the same side of the pallet I was on. He canceled his attack and M1ed me. While he was stunned I fast vaulted the pallet and he somehow was able to hit me again. Uhm what?

i'm not sure exactly what happened here, let me take a guess at it.
-you dropped the pallet as the billy was swinging
-he hit you and got stunned at the same time
-you vaulted over the pallet
-he was able to hit you as you were vaulting over the pallet
was that how things went down? if so, that sounds like he was using the perk Enduring, which lets killers recover from stuns much faster than normal.

Thats exactly what happened. But I have never seen this happen before.
He shouldn't have been able to recover fast enough to hit me a 2nd time should he? It was like there was 80% stun time reduction not 50.

That’s normal for Enduring. Enduring pallet stun time is only 1 second (instead of 2), so if you end up getting hit right before dropping a pallet and the killer gets stunned on your side of the pallet, they can hit you again before you can vault back over since the stun overrides the basic attack cooldown.

If you vault a pallet after stunning the killer, and they have enduring, they can DEFINITELY hit you by the time you get to the other side. When you stun a killer, you negate ALL cooldowns they had previously. The ONLY thing is the stun duration, which got cut in half by enduring. It's why dumb-teching (the name of stunning a killer and vaulting it into them) is dangerous if you don't know whether or not they have enduring. The default stun duration is 2s. With enduring, it's 1. Vaulting takes 1.1s. That's not enough time to make enough distance to not be hit.
Edit: To add further, you can actually be hit while doing a reverse stun as well (when you are both on the same side of the pallet), though it's fairly rare that happens as BHVR has been trying to make it impossible to reverse stun

Thats really weird. I've NEVER had that happen to me a single time before now.

Then you have either been very lucky or had a killer that didn't know they could do that. To be fair, there's so much nuance in the game, it's not really surprising..

Just to be clear it wasn't any dumby tech thing.
I pallet stunned him too late. He was already on my side of the pallet. He hit me just before he took the stun. The instant he hit me I jumped over the now downed pallet to get away from him and he hit me a 2nd time during the vault. The stun and both hits all happened inside the same 2 seconds.

Yep thats enduring, the hit cooldown is cancelled by the stun animation, 2.7s hit cooldown but a 2s stun, enduring halves the stun so 1s, most of the time spent stunned the survivor is also in the dropping animation of the pallet probably ~0.6s so before you can vault safely to the other side they hit or grab you
Hit cooldown isn't continued after a stun, the stun overrides it, otherwise you have the insane stacking of time that it would take if you got a hit at a pallet stunned then broke it, 2.7s + 2s + 2.3s, imagine getting a hit at a god pallet and getting stunned the survivor has 7s to get away + their speed boost

Maybe because Enduring has a 5.51% pick rate (according to Nightlight) and what you described was a very specific situation that is unlikely to happen in any match, Enduring or not.
In other words: Congratulations, you had hit the reverse jackpot.

This. It's extremely hard to execute deliberately by either side (I still consider it black magic) and requires you to try vault back, them to have enduring, and them identifying and reacting fast enough to catch you out.
It's a good thing to note that pallet/save (they're the same just with different means of activating it) stuns override every single cooldown in the game. Nurse's fatigue, Demo's recovery, Legion's headache etc. The only thing that they can't override is a seperate pallet/save stun.

The basic attack cooldown is stopped by the pallet stun. Meaning, after he recovered from the stun he could instantly hit you again. He probably had Enduring as well. Otherwise the stun takes too long.

I've had a few hillbilly matches today and I can't tell you how unbelievably broken this killer feels now. The only thing they are all doing is endless chainsaw spams. I also had one injure me after breaking a pallet. Since when has that been a thing? I just don't understand the thought process that goes into these changes.

If you dont know what lopro is i don't know what to tell you on billys balance.

Then I guess you don't know what to tell me because I don't know what that is. Neither do I care. I just know he's much more annoying to deal with now than before.

Hillbilly's LoPro Chains add-on (Purple/Very Rare) allows him to continue his chainsaw sprint after breaking a pallet or wall. However, if he hits a Survivor within 5 seconds of doing so he only deals 1 health state of damage, so a healthy Survivor will only be injured, not downed. This add-on has been in the game since patch 4.1.0 and originally did not have the 5-second timer. This was added later in patch 4.1.1. So at least 4 to 5 years ago.

I guess that addon now will be a common thing used in his build given his update. I remember a time when pallets meant something and could actually stop a killer in chase for a moment. Now it feels like every other killer has a way to hit you despite the pallet drop.

that's what enduring allows you to do. happens so often whenever i run it lol
hit, he flips to your side while stunned with enduring, and he turns around and hits you.

LoPro Chains + Doom Engravings was always his best add on combo since his rework back in 2020, (not counting this rework released just now)
Surprised youve never seen it until now

That injure after breaking a pallet has been in the game since the first billy rework that introduced overheat, when he was destroyed and became fun to play against .
Its so funny seeing people literally not ever read a single addon/power, altho tbf billy has been such a bad killer for such a long time and had no reason to play as him I dont blame people for not knowing what his addons do.
