Did people forget how to play against Twins?
So in my attempt to get adepts on killers I used to play along with my main(took a 10 month break). Now last year when I played, everyone always grouped up. Lots of tough matches and Twins downsides would eventually tilt me and I would move on.
Tonight, I had a Twins daily and with my new rule(no fun builds until adept is done), I only used their 3 unique perks. I got it first match. No one tried to bush tech, no stairs abusers, and everyone tried to work on separate gens injured. I thought… ok this might be a fluke and worked on my tome challenges playing them… and it was all the same. And major point: when I missed a hit… no one tried to even kick Victor.
I know they have a low pick rate but are they basically a new killer for a lot of ppl?

I mean I almost never play survivor but the times I did i never saw one. I do know how to play against her mostly from watching matches against her from streamers or tournaments, but i'm pretty sure that this would be pretty hard to do without swf if the killer is good.

I see Twins maybe once every two months (with ~60-100 hrs/month) and it's a sh* show one way or the other; on the one hand people have no clue what to do because they never see them (I don't know much myself either, just some basics surrounding what to do with victor; when to keep, when to crush and where to go) - but on the other hand Twins players too seem to really enjoy the victor slug/camping style. Which neither helps you learning how to deal with them - nor makes you interested in facing (or playing) them. People just nope out of it.

In fairness on the slugging issue, sometimes you can be across the map with Charlotte and you have someone near who can pick up your slug up so you have to keep going. I hope with the rework, their design is looked into so slugging isn’t the only optimal way to play.

Seeing as it’s a killer you play against every 200 games some people might have never learned the counterplay to begin with

Only fun counterplay is to go next and maybe get killer thats not disgusting

You can't really blame people for not knowing how to play againts a killer that most playerbase sees maybe 1 in 100 games.

Either that or they have never learned it in the first place.
It is something that can easily happen with a killer as rare as Twins.

The twins aren't seen as much as any other killers.

I mean, "forgot" implies they knew to begin with.
Twins are the rarest killer to face out there. Statistically speaking, there's a not-insignificant percent of the playerbase that have simply never faced them.

no one ever knew in pubs because you see 1 twins per 5 months and the counterplay to twins is to play in coordinated pairs and protect eachother from victor which doesnt happen in solo or even 9/10 swfs

I dont even remember the last time I went against Twins. Tho in the last few months I ve been maining them and they are fun, but feels so, and i mean so cluncky that its a pain in the ass hooking someone, it feels really painful the back and forth between victor and charlotte, it takes you as much time as bubbas stun, so the game punish you for using your power. Really good job so far for the twins!

Oh absolutely the problem I have with them too which is why I mainly dabble with them sometimes. I hope when they are reworked, things with be designed and work smoothly. Hopefully they get a new cosmetic too
