Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

If you're going for an anti healing build then that's a good combo. Coulrophobia would also be good.

I would trade Coulrophobia for Monitor and Abuse. Coulrophobia is really only good on small maps or when in combo with Distressing.

Clowns basically an M1 killer, Sloppy Butcher, Save the best for last, Nurses Calling, Spirit Fury, Enduring, NOED. I don't really think Coulrophobia is good on anyone but Doctor.

This is what I ran in the high ranks when using the clown: Ruin, NOED, Spirit Fury and Enduring. I went on a merciless killer streak for 8 consecutive matches at Ranks 2 & 1

I’m curious how many of those were because of NOED?

The Clown's bottles slow down survivors which forces them to drop pallets more quickly than usual.

Brutal Strength saves you almost half a second when breaking a pallet.

Therefore Brutal Strength synergizes extremely well with the Clown's ability by keeping the distance to the chased survivor low while saving time on pallets you must break which as a result keeps the chase potentially much shorter than usual.

Ruin isn't even optional against optimal survivors as you need the time.

Bamboozle can save you a lot of time if survivors want to loop the killer shack or double walls.

Sloppy Butcher is always a good option for m1 killers because healing takes so long some people will just try to power through the gens injured allowing you to instadown them OR they will stand in a corner healing themselves for 40 seconds which allows you to find and chase someone else in the meantime.

    Long story short:

Brutal Strength + bottle = quicker chases

    Bamboozle = quicker chases

Ruin = more time to find and chase survivors

Sloppy Butcher = more time to find and chase survivors OR instadowns depending on the survivor's decision

Clown lacks map pressure and is prone to gen rush.

Therefore Ruin to slow down the early game. Pop goes the weasel for later game.

On top of that either pallet perks or tracking perks. I take Enduring because with Clown you often slow them down on loops and get the hit as they drop the pallet. So reducing the stuns is good.

Last perk is optional. Spirit fury/brutal strength are good for getting through pallets faster. M&A to reduce their chances of stealth play. Save the best for last to speed up chases too.

I do pretty good with these builds. 2 perks to slow down gen rush, 2 perks to makr chases extremely fast. It's just bam, bam, bam with him this way.

Clown has the standard terror radius of 32 meters so I don't recommend Nurse's Calling. A lot of survivors are careful and always assume NC so they don't heal in terror radius. NC is a better perk for killers with a small terror radius.

I like a good TR build on him: Distressing, unnerving, clorophobia, BBQ

I also like a good chase build: Enduring, STBFL, Spirit Fury, BBQ.

Or an anti-healing build: Thanatophobia, Sloppy Butcher, A Nurses Calling, Clorurophobia

I would advise against Sloppy Butcher, Clown is not good at dealing with multiple survivors or hit and run because of his limited bottles, Bamboozle, Brutal Strength and PGTW are prefered here.

I usually run brutal strength, bamboozle, save the best for last (SBFL), and surveillance/ or monitor and abuse

My idea for this build is to be able to make chases shorter with fast pallet breaks and blocking windows. SBFL helps by allowing you to get hits in fast which is amazing if they are still hindered and you have like 6-8 tokens and are ready to hit again. Those 3 perks mixed with some of his addons make his chases brutal

I've gotten good mileage out of using Spirit Fury / Enduring / Ruin / BBQ.

BBQ is sometimes switched out for something else when I am not in dire need of Bloodpoints, usually it is Save the Best For Last, Bamboozle or Nurse's Calling.
