New basement perks

This was originally about basement and thinking not all maps have one.

So I guess i'll just share my thoughts about the new perks.

The new basement perks for survivors are good, the invocation one mostly for swf.

Is it just me that feels that this is the beginning of killers having a new objective, which is patrolling the basement, else survivors get 110% free heals if strenght in shadows is paired by botany, or get up to 75% gen progression in under 60 seconds if 2 survivors do the invocation in the basement.

Also I dont think running territorial imperative makes it any better as you need to waste 1 perk slot just for a new objective you have to deal with as killer.

The Game has a basement. All maps have a basement.

    There isn't a map that doesn't spawn a basement.

Yeah, I don't think her perks will be all that useful for Solo Q Survivors. Unless you use it in the late game to break a 3 gen (which is a much weaker strat now anyway), the invocation one is too much risk for not enough reward in my opinion. But I do hope there will be more invocation perks in the future, because the concept itself is pretty neat.

(btw, I think you only ever get a max of 15% gen progression on all gens, regardless of how many Survivors join you. The invocation just works faster if others join you).

Her basement healing perk could be useful. Anyone know if it will work with Self-Care for a speedy but risky basement self heal? Be cool if it did, but I can imagine BHVR thinking that might be too strong.

I don't see why you would run both her basement self-care perk and self-care. Even if they did stack for some reason, you get more value running Botany Knowledge over a 2nd self-care perk.

Edit: Wait, I'm just dumb and misread the description. I thought it meant that heals in the basement are 60% faster but no, it is a self heal perk at 60% normal speed. I might still bring both though, since you're not always near the basement (with Botany of course).

It's literally on the patch notes

    Strength in Shadows

When in the basement, this Perk activates.

Unlocks the Strength in Shadows ability, which allows you to heal without a Med-Kit at 60/60/60% normal healing speed.

When you finish a heal in the basement, you see the Killer's aura for 6/8/10 seconds.

When you are in the basement, you can heal yourself at 60% speed without a med-kit.

If you a finish any heal in the basement, you get to see the killer's aura for a few seconds.

Its a minor inconvinience other than an objective, its like saying that killers now have to patrol the Nostromo Wreckage secret room, just over-reacting.
