What exactly is the new killer supposed to be...?

Been reading the lore for the Unknown and Sable and I still can't decipher what exactly this thing is. Is it Olivia? Is it a creation of the Entity? Genuinely have zero clue since it doesn't seem to even be mentioned in its own biography.

I'm pretty sure that's the idea.

Whatever it is, nobody can figure out where it came from, what it is, or even what it wants. That's why the addons all reference contradictory theories for where it came from; it's the Unknown.

The only thing it is is some sort of urban legend proven real. Nobody knows though, and that's what adds some of the horror - the idea it is not something that can be categorised.

I don't think it's Olivia or the Entity though. My take is she witnessed The Unknown being abducted by The Entity, with the ending of the lore leaving a window open for Olivia to enter the realm. In what capacity remains to be seen.

Honestly, I have no idea. I'm kind of confused by the lore of this Chapter. The add-ons are super confusing too. Like who is being referred to in their flavour text?

Which means Olivia and her time in the fog is most likely gonna be the focus of The Unknown's tome.

Also assuming the tome's story isn't conclusive at the last entry, she might even end up being left as a teaser as either a future Survivor or Killer.

It talks about being hungry and comes from the same realm as the Dredge. Some part of its lore mentions it consuming people and “stealing” their voices. I’d guess it’s a supernatural entity but it probably has a number of influences (cryptids, The Thing/body snatchers/extraterrestrials, whatever the dredge is) woven into its design.

I imagine this is the most likely explanation. I imagined that the Entity is involved with it in some way since the Unknown's lore seems heavily intertwined with the Entity taking people.
