This forum is a massive echo chamber
Every. single. thread.
"survivors are such babies"
"survivors can't stop crying" -A post on survivor is OP thread #3456545435
"all survivors are OP" -bullies groups of noob survivors, kills people off with 4 gens left no problem
"killers can't be toxic" -some of the most toxic examples of dbd players
"the devs have a huge survivor bias" -killers with 400 hours that conveniently ignore how many nerfs survivors get practically every update
"camping/ tunneling isn't a real thing, I'm just doing my job!!!1" -complains when they get genrushed
I literally haven't seen any place where survivors are the vocal majority, this place is worse than the DBD steam forums, but thankfully a lot better than reddit

OMG It's the famous FlamingKittyUmad!!! The one from the Ardetha videos!!! Teach me your ways oh great god of Dead by Daylight
9 -
I only joined the forums a while ago and already quickly realised it's mostly killer dominated
12 -
I already make a thread about this lmao, this is killer main territory..
6 -
LMAO, of course it's killer dominated.
I mean... What do you expect from a game in which killers, who are meant to be a threat, are just a joke... People are gonna go crazy on the forums 24/7.

OMG FLAMINGKITTY???

go back to the steam forums because everyone knows that all you do is troll
3 -
Get the hell out and go back to steam then, sure ya'll have some damn good times just insulting everyone and being edgy.
2 -
OP is being a bit overly dramatic, but I understand the sentiment.
3 -
The game is survivorsided and they come to the forum to complain about being underpowered and get mad that people do not agree with them.
So their conclusion is "this forum is a killer echochamber!"
Of course it has nothing to do with your ideas being bad and/or outrageous , or the game being survivorsided.
Nonono...
6 -
Glad more and more people are being brave enoigh to say this at the risk of angering the mob.
There is definitely a "killer main" mentality here. Some things I agree with, some things I don't, but in all their requests for buffs its like people forget that the game needs to be enjoyable in both roles as killer AND survivor.
15 -
It isn't that the forum is an echo chamber. There's just many people with many different opinions, some differing from yours. I know, scary.
2 -
Say a building is on fire, and a bunch of people want to call the firefighters, while a minority just wants to let it burn because they hate the building. Would you be part of the latter group complaining about the former group as being "a massive echo chamber"? No, because that's ######### stupid.
Similarly, most people simply recognize/acknowledge that the game has problems, primarily due to the fact that survivors are overpowered, since the devs balance killers around average survivors (making them underpowered against above-average survivors). That's not an echo chamber, that's people reaching the same conclusion based on the same data, which is pretty ######### normal, IMO.
10 -
" its like people forget that the game needs to be enjoyable in both roles as killer AND survivor."
That's the point.
But in literally ALL topics the term "fun" is only used for survivor.
Killer player are human beings too and they play a GAME to have "fun", but any mechanic that is "fun" for killer is getting ripped apart how "unfun" that is for survivor.
9 -
known troll from the steam forums, ignore

I'm simply gonna copy/paste this post from another thread because it quite fit with this one too :
"Don't forget the incoming lobby change where you will no longer be able to guess if it's a SWF team or not.
They want killers, actually human players, to act and use strategy/pattern of an AI.
Some sort of free workers for them when you think about it :
Forcing this already addicted part of the playerbase (which a good part will surely accept as usual) into this make them save money from working on potential killer AI."
3 -
The forums is not necessarily an echo chamber and here's why ;
First of all, pretty much every point you've listed about killers complaining can be thrown right back at survivors because they make the same exact complaints. For every "survivors are babies" and "survivors are OP" post you see, I can guarantee there is another one that is calling killers babies and OP. That isn't an echo chamber, that's people taking their side on the forums.
The other thing you should consider is that there is a lot of people who play this game, infact right now the average amount of players DbD gets is roughly 16,000 and a vast number of them come to places like the DbD forums, reddit, discord or steam forums for instance as they want to talk about their experiences in the game, their suggestions and the problems they have with it - not because they want to echo what everyone else is saying but because they themselves have feedback they want to make towards the game. Infact, while a lot of people happen to have the same problems with the game they often make very different solutions and in some cases have a different outlook on said problems.
I suggest you get more used to the forums and take a better look at some of the posts, infact you might just have your head in the wrong area.
1 -
Yep, pretty much spot on.
Force killer to give free unhooks and switch targets.
Play like survivor like them to play.
3 -
I agree with OP.. Just because you don't like what they have to say doesn't make them a troll lol

Not really. The main problem is what people define as fun in game. Killers want longer matches so they suggest buffs to perks etc. But the suggestions usually mean survivors holding m1 for longer. Survivors have said time and time and time and TIME again that making them hold m1 for longer is NOT the way to go. There’s a reason some survivors go looking for the killer it’s because for them the chase is fun and holding m1 at a gen isn’t. So giving them m1 to hold for longer, like Thana buff or Legion, makes it unfun/tedious for them. There has to be other suggestions that would benefit killers but not make it tedious for survivors.
6 -
if there were mature people in these forums there would be no problems about it (more killer main than survivor main)
everyone would discuss a topic peacefully regardless of the faction they belong to.
unfortunately there is not always a good atmosphere in these forums and this often leads non-toxic people to become so in some threads.

Because some of the buff suggestions are crazy

Imagine having an asymmetrical game with 4 Survivors and 1 Killer and the Survivors complain that they're a minority in this community.
#DbDsurvivorlogic
How about you start a movement and try to convince all the reddit circle jerkers to group up and invade this forum? xD
The reason why reddit is "survivor territory" is because 99% of the content there is bullshit and memes, nothing related to development or balance while in these forums the main focus is about improving and balancing the game, discussing issues.
Something Survivors struggle to do, so it seems.

Welcome to the forum page @FlamingkittyUmad, where people still want survivor nerfs and they still get them :)

Quite a strong thread for someone who insults and cries on the ingame chat

I have read only a few mature people in here that want the game to improve for real. The rest are but whiny kids

No one said that just increase gen time (holding M1) is a good idea.
Complaining at the same moment about Thana buffs or healing is a total different topic. Self Care for example is way to easy. If you don't like the M1 aspect of it, fine, we can talk about making SC even faster to use IF we limit it in the amount of uses (3x per match is enough, with no chance to regain any uses ofc).
But 2ndary objectives have always been an idea and they got tested in form of … guess what… TOTEMS.
And again guess what happend? Survivor either hate them (Ruin, Noed, etc) or simple want to be allowed to ignore them completely.
Another major flaw you mentioned is "Survivor have fun in chases". That is NOT meant to be. Being chased should be threatening, not "fun". This only shows the survivors overconfidence, cockyness and utter disrespect for the killer, who is not a real threat to them. The killer is just the party clown to play pig in the middle with.
The "fun" in playing killer is being the powerrole. The other are supposed to see you as the big bad MF and should try to avoid you. You can call it an ego issue all you want, but that's what's FUN about playing killer.
4 -
That's true for the minority on both sides but the moment you call them out you're a fanboy or x main who knows nothing.
1 -
I mean yeah, but the best thing you can do is ignore them and post a thread that’s completely different from what everyone’s mainly talking or complaining about.

Literally the truest thing I’ve read on the forum to date, what’s fun for survivor is miserable for killer. What’s fun for killer is miserable for survivors. It be like that.
4 -
That's true to a point but I can die in a match and still have fun and so can the killer it's the definition of fun where it diverges. Just look at some of the entitled extremists on here if they don't 4k as a killer it's not fun.
If that survivor doesn't escape 100% of the time it's not fun, notice how it's always the same whiny entitled few every time.
Most people playing can die or only kill 2 and still have fun or not get any sacs but lots of fun chasing/getting chased etc.

Your comment was valid a year ago when Killers were a joke, but not really anymore.
1 -
Gotta keep looking for the Survivor echo chamber I guess.

What’s fun for survivors is chases and they’ve been nerfed pretty hard. Leaving just gens to get out basically and they hate it. I say they, Bc I personally like stealth play, but it’s not for everyone. A significant amount of survivors hate immersive gameplay. Killers(and the devs) aren’t hearing them though, I don’t believe it has anywhere near to do that much to do with escaping , as literally the fun got sucked out of it for them. They could of just buffed killers and left survivors alone. See the issue?

@Wolf74
"No one said that just increase gen time (holding M1) is a good idea."
Where did I say anyone said it was a good idea? I said "the suggestions usually mean survivors holding m1 for longer". It's not even the issue of holding m1, it's the issue of holding m1 for too long on one single objective i.e one gen or healing. Holding m1 to do an objective is fine but when you lengthen the time it takes to heal or finish a gen there is a point where it crosses over from manageable to tedious. That line is very fine and obviously different for everyone.
"But 2ndary objectives have always been an idea and they got tested in form of … guess what… TOTEMS"
Totems are optional, so a survivor who only plays to survive won't touch dull totems normally they'll just do gens. Anyone complaining about a hex perk is entitled or a noob they can be dealt with easily. Adding in a secondary objective that must be completed is something different. The main complaints of killers is the frustration aspect, by the time you chase and down your first survivor you'll be lucky if 2-3 gens haven't popped because you lose pressure, simply because the other survivors have nothing else to do. Now you feel like you're playing catch up and you're the one under pressure, not survivors. Hence why you also get the campers/tunnellers (some will just camp/tunnel anyway). Adding in a secondary objective before the gates can be opened might help a bit, but killers have had years of hearing those gens pop in the first 2 mins of the game that they will still feel that pressure. So, personally, I'd look at adding something in before survivors could even start on gens, survivors could still 'gen rush' but if you made those objectives long enough you could have a survivor hooked before any of them finish a gen. It might be hard to balance but I have no idea.
"Another major flaw you mentioned is "Survivor have fun in chases". That is NOT meant to be. Being chased should be threatening, not "fun". This only shows the survivors overconfidence, cockyness and utter disrespect for the killer, who is not a real threat to them. The killer is just the party clown to play pig in the middle with."
Why is it a flaw? Who says it's not meant to be? Be honest do you really want to go into a match with 4 p3 Claudettes running stealth builds? You're taking it very personally if you think someone enjoying the chase aspect is being cocky and disrespectful. Chase is a part of the game, you even get bp and emblem points for it and there are perks to help end/extend chases. Being chased is threatening for most survivors, you're literally talking about the 2% of cocky survivors that love clicking their flashlights at you.
The reason people enjoy the chasing is because it literally gets their adrenaline up and it's more interactive than sitting repairing a gen, it doesn't mean they're not worried about getting downed at the same time.
"The "fun" in playing killer is being the powerrole. The other are supposed to see you as the big bad MF and should try to avoid you. You can call it an ego issue all you want, but that's what's FUN about playing killer."
That's what's FUN for YOU. For me the fun of playing killer is seeing the survivors run and get into a chase so I can hunt them down. Playing against stealthy survivors who I can down 10 secs after I find them is a lot less fun. People are different and enjoy different things, some survivors enjoy being chased, some prefer stealth. Just like some killers hate the chase and some love being able to down that annoying survivor.

Tell that to Freddy, Wraith, Trapper, Leatherface, Legion, Clown...
4 -
Survivors think Bubba is op lol. "I always get 4k with LF at rank 20". So it means it is easy.
2 -
People come here mostly to complain or suggest.
Those who have it good mostly don't complain or suggest.
Now put the pieces together...

No, it's more an echo chamber for complaints to be "lul'd" at and BHVR to just let whatever bullshit continue to happen

Yet people can 4k regularly with those killers in red ranks because gasp they know how to play them. I believe it was Monto or Hybrid Panda that 4k'd in 100 straight games.
So now the truth comes out you play at rank 20 well that explains everything then.
It was either @SenzuDuck or Vietfox that took Perkless yes that's PERKLESS FREDDY to rank 1 and did quite well along the way.
There's Freddy and bubba mains here that regularly 4k because gasp they know how to play.
The biggest difference between them and the rest of you complainers is they actually put in the effort to improve. They also don't spend most of their time whining on the forums instead of actually improving.
4 -
I actually remember that game lol.
1 -
Maybe you play at rank 20 since you got offended by it.

@powerbats: that last sentence, man. SO TRUE. You nailed it. The biggest crybabies are the ones that shitpost in this forum like every 10 minutes, instead of just playing the game.
