The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

DS IS FINE HOW IT IS, PROVE ME WRONG.
Now that I have your attention, i'de like to talk to you about the change to Spies from the Shadows.
The current change of having a 5 second cd is a nerf that will kill the perk. Since it will just be another form of Whispers. Especially since hooking a survivor near ravens will put it on a constant 5 second cd.
The devs changed it because people were complaining about the constant sound ques from it, but that was it's strength. It let you flush out your prey, and find out which way they went, in active time, if they arent smart enough to have calm spirit. Maybe put a 1 second cd on it to prevent overlap, if you must do anyhthing.
Spread the word my killer friends. Don't let them nerf a good perk into uselessness.

you cant kill a perk that is already in the corner of dead perks.
seriously though, who in the world is even using this? there are so many better perks, like whispers...

Actually spies is better, IMHO, in it's curent state. in the state of the prb, it is a worse version of whispers.
Whispers will let you flush your prey out of hiding, Spies will give you tracking on which way they went. They are two sides of the same coin

Obviously some people are. If you aren’t then it doesn’t affect you anyway so instead of leaving pointless comments, maybe try leaving one supporting those who DO use it and their wishes for the change not to happen.
I don’t use it, the change doesn’t affect me, but from what I’ve heard from everyone who does use it, the cool down is a huge nerf. Devs listened to the complaints of people who don’t and won’t use the perk either way who said that it was annoying, rather than listening to the people who do use it and said it’s fine as is.
So devs, don’t change the perk. The people complaining won’t use it either way and those who do will be negatively impacted by this change. Just leave it as is.

I don't like notification spam.
But SFTS was always an exception to me, because i chose the Perk knowing full well it would spam me, i chose to get notification spam.
I used to run it (I currently don't for unrelated reasons.) because it was great for me to know exactly where they were going without needing to be on their ass, seeing blood and/or scratch marks.
Notification spam is annoying otherwise cause they want you to know (loops & whatnot) or want you to be annoyed.
I only feel more distant from this Perk now because of the cooldown.

Current Spies is one of the most underrated perks in the entire game. I can't tell how many times it won games for me when I was playing Spirit.
No CD was its best strength and it is going now and we most probably won't be able to do anything. Devs have their own ideas and I honestly think that they are ignoring feedbacks.

Is it being nerfed solely because of the notification spam? A short cd like 1 sec would be fine. But surely there is a way you could make the notification less annoying rather than just completely nerfing the perk?

@SmokePotion I want to lol react you, but as in a genuine "holy ######### that was hilarious bait" xD

This is bait.......... prove me wrong!

I use Spies because it's good, the 5 second cooldown will kill it and banish it again. Right now you can tell the direction a Survivor is going because of the constant crows going up. With the cooldown you'll get, ''oh they're there, well they're gone now, #########''.

What about this: the visual notifications don't have a cooldown, but the audio does. so you see the bubbles but only hear them once in a while so its not too annoying

It rarely goes off multiple times in its current version, I feel that the Dev's could have left it alone.

while i do understand its use for spirit, the other killers have way better tracking tools.
spirit may actually be the only killer who gets use out of it, as she cant see survivors during a phase, but the crow bubbles do show up.
honestly, your better off with Whispers, Discordance or BBQ.

Today, I played with Spies for the first time after not having used it for a couple of months, I think. I liked the "spam" since it clearly showed the direction in which the surv was moving. It was pretty useful that way.

It's still not good enough to be run regardless of that timer.
To be made actually decent and worth considering the range of its effectiveness needs to be removed. Make it map wide. It's only a ping, not aura, and it requires the survivor to run around recklesslesly for it to even activate. That seems balanced to me. Current state no ones running it.

nah you're using it wrong. it absolutely doesn't need any of that. it's amazing how it is, and I use it across all ranks with great success man.

You want to be killed by the killers main?

I miss the old original SFTS.
No range limit and the crows checked for an alert when a survivor just came near them (no need to make them fly off).

I dont know why they couldn't just change the notification, another colour, a different look and sound something less intrusive so players don't get annoyed by it.
It's not a heavily used perk so nerfing it seems a bit of a strange thing to do.

Too much work.

Yea it is but you know, people are complained about it over years. It doesnt matter any more if it's too strong or not
and be sure the devs will not change their mind. and tbh decisive strike is even bs now. especially when i run enduring with/out spirit fury. It's just a thing for 4 seconds. If you play this perk now you hsould play sth better like adrenaline or something for the whole game and not just once per game ^^
0 -
huh? How would i run Adrenaline as a killer. Inquiring minds want to know.

They nerfed it after hearing certain streamers bemoaning it in chases. I have to assume it was a rushed mess that they didn't even think through, as the placement of certain crows just nullify its usefulness completely now. They should rework crow placement if they plan on keeping it this way.

I came to talk about DS: The new DS rewards survivors that recklessly save other survivors from the hook. Why does the killer have to be punished for picking up a survivor that just got unhooked in front of them??? That's a builded in Borrowed Time :,-(
What if the perk only activates after a SAFE HOOK RESCUE?

I don't understand why folks are so concerned about Spies from the Shadows since it just makes an existing tracking method better. After all, it takes a few seconds for crows to fly straight up. If you lose a survivor just listen for the caws of angry crows and look for them flying straight up.
