Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

How is Knight now? Is he in a good state?

I heard he was killswitched for quite some time, and he's now back. So is he actually playable now? Also, how strong is he now actually?

I'm planning to get him with shards because I'm the kind of the guy who likes ganking LMAO :)

There were a number of bugs present after he was reactivated, including being able to teleport. No clue if those have been fixed yet.

Bugs: The Knight is like a Hydra. They cut off one bug just to spawn two new ones.

Gameplay Killer: Meh, not my cup of tea. Place Guard, survivor leaves loop, Knight cuts them off. Repeate. But hey, everybody has a different taste.

Gameplay Survivor: Does that sound like fun what i discribed above?

How powerful: Mid. Power has some cooldown and when you fail to place guard on top of survivor, it will cost you. Ah and before i forget: You will run a specific brown addon every single game. Wont take you much time to figure out which one i am talking about.

The closest killer than can be related to The Knight is Spirit. Since when using their power it's very similar to each other, follow survivor and listen for audio and look for blood.

Still a bit buggy, but still works. Unfortunately you'll be running the same 2 or 3 add ons every single game. 1 is brown other 2 are yellow.

They need to fix more of his bugs and give him that brown addon as basekit so he is playable without it.

The Knight is playable but he has a lot of issues: Firstly, he is Add-On dependent because he needs Map of the Realm to detect survivors with his Guards. In addition the Call To Arms Add-On feels also necessary to deal better with larger maps or to deny generators better. Next, his Guards have a lot of issues that make them so unreliable. Sometimes they choose such a bad path to chase the survivor and sometimes they get stuck on something and waste your power. Survivors can also stun you with a palett when you in the spiritform due to the bad game code. This sucks sometimes really hard.

Overall, you can have fun with the Knight and he can also make use of many different builds but the bugs and the dependence of creation Add-Ons feels sometimes so bad.

They did nothing to fix him up while he was killswitched. In fact, he's even more buggy and busted than he was before, and his extreme add-on dependency hasn't been addressed at all during his first year. BHVR does not care about this killer anymore.

He's pretty fun, probably one of the more chill killers to play as. I like the setups you can create through patrolling and his overall playstyle if you try to be more experimental with his patrolling, but he's so damn inconsistent and add-on reliant. Not a stressful killer, but Map of the Realm is absolutely required to get decent results with him.

His perks aren't my cup of tea except for maybe Face the Darkness, it's a cool tracking perk on the right killer.

Power: Lower side of mid I'd say

Enjoyability: I like him quite a lot. I feel like there is a lot more do playing the Knight than many other killers because I'm not just thinking about the chase but what guard I have available and what I should have them do.

    Cons

AI: Don't expect your guards to be smart. They aren't meant to win you matches, but to harass survivors.

    Bugs

    Longer Matches

Survivor View: Many survivors outright hate him because they think versing him is boring.

Addons: As others have said there is one you have to use, but its brown and so you have plenty of them, but you are addon dependent. There's no Purple - Iri uber combo of Knight if that's what you are going for.

Mid tier killer that requires a lot of micro management, but in a fun way. I really enjoy everything about him barring his sometimes clunky feel. Hold W counters him badly and is the key to beating him. Survivor holds W to a dead area away from all the action and forces you to leave ane negate everyone and everything else, OR avoid following but staying behind without a power with 2 of the 3 guards barely able to hit survivors.

He's not that boring to face either imo, having to avoid being pincered is quite fun and the guards can provide an element of jump scare if the Knight conceals the patrol path.

Knight is not only playable, but he is also quite fun to play !

His power is kinda weird as using it in a chase isn't easy or very effective. But if you use aura perks (or good guesses), you will be able to double task with him, and that is really satisfying. Nothing like chasing two survivors at once.

Knight is a chill killer to play : not too complicated nor demanding, yet decently strong, without being overpowered.

As said by others : his addons are almost useless, except "map of the realm", which is mandatory. "Call to arms" is also very good, tho it can be switch for something else.

Btw, I don't get why people still hate playing against. I like versing the Knight and his 3 gening is no longer as strong as it use to be.
