anyone know how to counter the Unknown?
like I know he is new to the game and we still have to learn how to play against him but my friends are already complaining about him and that he is another go next killer. i said to them: it's been like 2 days since the chapter dropped, just give it some time and you will get used to him. i wanted to ask how do you actually play against him right now, cuz the only thing I know is that you have to stare at him for like 10 sec when you are in hallucination mode and do a lot of dispelling of his bodies around the map. more tips or guides would be very much appreciated! ;)

Be aware of check points. If you are used to waiting at check points to see where to run next like shack door then be careful because the new killer will try to hit you in those spots.
If you hear his neck open up, ew gross, then you know he is going to use the power. So try and dodge it and stay away from walls during this time.
It’s tough because it creates mind games of where to dodge just like Deathslinger and Huntress.

You want to dispel Hallucinations, don't stick too close to walls since his UVX can hit you through many of them if you are, look at the killer (the killer has to be on your screen, but you can be out of LoS) to remove Weakened.

Really its just hold w change tiles and be a little unpredictable. This killer is probably one of the best killers in the game its going to force survivors to get better by making them rotate the camera while getting chased and learn how to chain tiles.

He is a killer similar to the Executioner who cannot escape normally when using his ability. Survivors fleeing must have map knowledge to keep looking behind them, and avoid the killer's abilities by listening to the sound of the killer's ability use and moving away to avoid the blast through walls, and sometimes evading the killer's ability by rushing towards him. Killer abilities cannot be used in close quarters, unless you use an obstacle.

It depends if you aim directly down you can use it pretty close I've gotten it where shack isn't very playable against him.

Sorry, I may not have checked that thoroughly. If so, it's my mistake. However, it's good to keep in mind as an option, as it can be very effective when maneuvering back and forth between pallets.

That's true but yea check out looking completely down at window at shack its pretty nice can hit some really cool shots.

You just try and waste their time by playing the distance game like you do vs all the new killers.

Most advice already hits it, but the other important part missing thus far, is know his cooldown. Once he's shot at you, he doesn't have another shot for 7 seconds, plus a windup of I think .5s.
You want to ensure you're not locked in an animation before that point he gets another shot, so throw pallets or vault windows up to 5 or so seconds after he shoots, otherwise its best to try and greed.

So far I counter Unknown same way I do Alien...with empathy. I think "if I were this killer, what would I do?"
So far reading him is pretty easy. I also holdW like mad.
That said,he seems like a great proxy camper. Unhook make me anxious. Seems like with Alien, dealing with his power is mandatory
