Decisive Strike is still 3 seconds next patch
An extremely important key thing to take note here that nobody is talking about is that DS now has an ANIMATION that will lock survivors in place before they can run during which will consume 1-2 seconds before they can create distance from the killer.

Yeah but like, that's the case now.
it's still 3 seconds vs 5 seconds.

yeah its a placebo effect your still only getting 3 seconds distance awhile alot of people think your getting 5 seconds of distance

I mean, yeah, you will only get around 3,7 seconds of distance. But before it was only 1,7 seconds, so there is still a plus of 2 seconds.
Unless they make the new stabbing animation longer than before, lol.

Have you seen the animation?

would not doubt it lol

no but i know devs and there patterns

If I can guess, the animation happens after the pick up animation and the stun happens after the stab animation
which means, the killer will be able to walk a step or two
so, DS right under a hook is a bad idea

I mean you don't know what the new animation is going to be like so can't really gauge how the duration is going to be effected. I reckon they will make it faster though. DS might end up having a double buff if for instance if they made the new animation only like 0.5 to 1 second.

I don't believe the new animation will make a gameplay difference. It's always locked survivors in place for 1-2 seconds after they use it. DS was 5 seconds previously, we know how it's gonna go.

maybe the animation will play and after that the stun is aplied, so we can't really know if this is true or not

Let’s not make assumptions until we actually see it in game.
