Tumble weeds don't make sense on Dead Dog Saloon.

Irish immigration started 1820 to 1860 in the wild west. The wild west timeline starts from . Caleb invented the redeemer around when the railroads were reaching the midwest in 1860s.

Now tumble weeds were an invasive species from russia and made its way to American soil via a delivery of flax seed in 1870. They did not become the rolling tumble weed in the wild west until 1912 after what we know as the "wild west" was over and railways were king.

In conclusion, Dead dog Saloon takes place somewhere from 1860 to 1875 and Caleb was taken into the fog sometime between then meaning he would have no memory of tumble weeds ever existing. it is physically impossible for tumble weeds to exist on the map.

The Entity has a pretty evil sense of humor

    …tumbleweeds included

I mean, entity doesn't really know real world and sometime make a mismatched dimension

Probably lore accurate in that terms

You ever thought maybe most people don't care about this and just see the aesthetic value of tumble weeds in an old western setting?

The Entity creates the realms based off of people’s memory of the location. Which is why a lot of realms are a bunch of stuff smashed together or shrunk down.

So while this is most likely just an aesthetic overthought, it is kinda lore accurate. Maybe one of the survivors saw the Saloon and thought of tumbleweeds which made the Entity add them.

I give credit to the fact-dump. However, I'd say the the realms do consist of mixed memories and - alongside the Entity's lack of understanding how Terras work - it's very likely the memories of other people entering the realm will conjure their own visions upon the map.

If The Entity only made accurate, exacting copies of the Terras then I would agree, but by its nature of existence this is actually very plausible.

    There’s no crows in Chile.

Yet there’s a Chilean killer who’s whole shtick is crows. Even the map she came with, also supposedly in Chile, has a giant murder of crows.

It’s also entirely possible that part of the Saloon was pulled from Zarina’s memory, who followed Caleb’s life for a story. Zarina might very well have seen tumbleweeds rolling around there.

That moment when everyone realizes that this was just a ply to give a history lesson...haha you learned something today.

This! Its a well researched and wll though out complained about a details so miniscule and with absolutely no impact that like 99% of the people couldn`t care less about. Thats what dedication to a nerdy topic is all about.

iirc The maps are based off memories drawn out of those in the realm, right?

Not too crazy that someone recalls tumbleweeds, be it in person or on a TV show, and it ends up on a map that resembles what they think of the area.

Hasn't it been confirmed that all the crows The Artist saw were not actual crows but instead representations of The Entity's influence, which had been haunting her all her life?

Precisely. Creative license + an eldritch-sized excuse allows for many cool stuff that don't really make sense.

I think it just goes to show how overpowered an optimal TWF is, especially when they VPN to NA West from Russia.

Yea, so many missed the entire point of the crows being there. They were not native crows (technically South America does have crows as in a corvid family bird, but not the common crows the rest of the world has that the Entity's crows are. South America's corvids are a blue bird known as an Azure Jay in English, so most don't know they are in the crow family) and that was the entire point! The Entity sent them to watch Carmina and corrupt her to eventually bring into the trials as a killer.

Ah I was mistaken on which non-black corvid it was, but here you go. They are much more prevalent in Brazil and are a threatened species. So with how rare they are already, its unlikely but still possible they might occasional be seen elsewhere in South America.

That said, my point was that the Entity sent the crows to watch Carmina, so the fact that crows are not native to South America is irrelevant.

Bill, a Vietnam vet, wouldn't wear Oakleys but hey, anything goes in Entity's realm. Maybe it enjoys torturing ppl with a sense for detail

please do not give the devs something else to divert their attention to that no one actually cares about

As many have already pointed out, the trials are created by the Entity. Reality and accuracy are not a factor.
