Finally reached Iri 1 Solo Q survivor, the most miserable experience... My thoughts
I played DBD for few years but exclusively mained killer and played some survivor every now and then and easily reached Iri 1 playing killer. I main survivor for the past couple of months and didn't care about it but since you won't lose pip's anymore next update, this was my last chance to hit Iri 1 fair and square before it becomes easy mode.
Oh boy this was miserable for me as a solo q survivor when hitting the red ranks the pip requirements are difficult you need to play the perfect match every game.. Which was impossible I had 1 pip left in each rank bracket and easily deranked to 0 each time and had to get 5 pip's again over and over and over because everyone suicides on hook casually, the often get tunneled off hook matches and with the requirements sometimes your team will gen rush and you won't have enough time to get into multiple chases so basically : 2 unhooks 2 chases and 2 gens with a totem or something to get 1 pip but the chases need to last long enough twice.
I even had a killer that eliminated my team at 4 gens left and decided to give me hatch and with that I lost a pip..
I can only play few hours daily so the experience of hitting Iri 1 wasn't pleasant at all, no fun in sweating every game against pro blights and nurses that will end the game quicker than you getting a chance to pip.. I liked the challenge kinda but it's an unfair system and it's getting easier now.

I think it is strange that you call it "easy mode" (which has a somewhat degrading touch to it) and then you describe in perfect detail WHY deranking is removed and WHY it becomes "easy mode".

Your comment makes no sense, but only gaining pip's without losing them is way easier than this is what I'm saying.

I mean it's true that pipping becomes a time constraint rather than a skill/luck constraint.
I don't see OP's statement as rude at all.

This is the reason I always supported removing depips. Because it gets to a point, particularly once you hit iri rank, where depips feel out of your control. Your experience was people letting go on hook, so through no fault of your own you missed out on unhooks and heals. People being tunnelled, so you missed out on chase, or if you were being tunnelled then chase was all you got. Other people gen-rushing, so no time to get any other objectives done. It sucks to depip through no fault of your own.

Play the perfect match, also known as performing the appropriate sacrifice and praying the matchmaking actually works lmao.

Of course it makes sense. You are calling it "easy mode" without depipping, which somewhat implies that it is not really an achievement to reach Iri 1 unless it is not reached "fair and square". You even say that you "only" play a few hours a day, but getting to play a few hours a day is most likely more than the average player in DBD plays. It just comes off as rude.
And yet you bring the points WHY it is changed (even tho the biggest is probably that the Devs dont know what to do with Grades anyway, they are even hiding them now from the player itself, because you need an additional click to see the Grade, which makes it even more pointless IMO)

Exactly as you said

Yes. It's not an achievement anymore to rank up after the next update that's why I challenged myself into it.
