New stat drop, what are we thinking?
Not too much new stuff. Biggest surprise for me was seeing Myers and Ghostie in top 10.
They ask for more ideas near the end; I'd love to see frequency of each individual kill rate per killer and overall.
What does the community think about these stats and what other stats do you want to see?

Average hook count? They seem to be avoiding it on purpose at this point lol.

It just confirms what I knew all along. Huntress Lullaby is S-tier.
It's double as many skill checks missed as normally and only carries the very low risk of being permanently deactivated. Forget Pain Res + Pop. Huntress Lullaby is the way to go.

It would paint a completely different picture of the games balance.

Having the percent distribution of games with each possible hook count (potentially even additionally seperated by kill count) would also be super interesting, thought hat's a particularly complex thing to examine

I almost exclusively played Mirror Myers during the Blood Moon event so... sorry I guess?
I think the EGC stats are kinda pointless. EGC activates in basically every game, the only games it doesn't are 3K + hatch escape games before the last gen is repaired.

What I want to see is average amount of hooks per gen completed. So hooks at 5 gens, 4 gens, 3 gens, gates powered, end of match, ect. High mmr please. And not hook stages, which can be acquired through camping, actual hooks. This would paint a very different picture of the game.

Mikey is always in the top 10 pick rates every time they release stats like this. Always. Pretty sure he's always in the top 10 of Knightlight's monthly stats, too.
Mikey players stand strong.

Oh no, I'm not complaining! I was just saying I see Myers so little I was sure he'd be lower. I'm sure I've seen more Plagues, Blights, even Xenomorphs than Mikers in recent months, so I'm surprised he's so popular. I kinda wish I had him more, I love Myers.
I hope they excluded 4th survivors from EGC kill stats because that would skew the numbers a lot. I think one thing the EGC numbers teach us, particularly the kill vs rescue ones, is that camping to secure a kill endgame is solidly killer sided (at least if thelast survivor kills are excluded). Not super informative but not entirely useless

These stats are dubious but seem inconsequential. I just dunno why they release things like this while withholding the stats people routinely request. I feel there’s an angle they’re trying to play by avoiding stats that would be controversial (like number of hooks per gen, number of hatch escapes—which do lower the kill rate, etc).

The devs are clearly happy they made another killer op. Next month they'll post the 80% kill rate for Twins rework and call it a success.

Killrates are always going to be skewed after a release, rework, or simple buffs. You have to account for an adjustment period before you can start making statements like this.

Daddy Myers is fun to play with add-ons. Scratched Mirror is my favorite. It’s so much more fun to go for scares than it is for kills. No other killer and add-on combo gives me as much fun. Tombstone is also nice when I get tired of dealing with toxic SWFs during prime play time in the evening and on weekends.
Sure, he’s not competitive or as strong as the S tier killers, but he’s fun and easy to get a grasp of, which is attractive to players.

It's just a PR thing to say they release stats consistently.
Same reason why each AMA is relatively useless.

I would assume, if they are doing this intentionally, it's largely an attempt to ensure the stats are viewed correctly- as mildly interesting bits of trivia without much consequential impact.
If they gave us too much of the stuff like number of hooks and number of hatch escapes, people are gonna use them as proof supporting some kind of argument about balance a lot more. I'd still be interested in seeing them, but the effect they'd have on the state of discourse for a while can't be ignored- they wouldn't become anything other than interesting trivia, but people would treat those stats differently anyway.

Honestly higher billy kill rates seems to be more of a consequence for lower new player ratio with more returning players

Kinda but I think that DBDs stats as they are arnt a useful indication of anything anyway and people still are doing this with the stats they released here like this is the most upvoted post on this thread: (im assuming you can see me quoteing sinkra)
There is no ranked mode and the MMR rubber banding can be quite high we know that because there was a time they made it stricter and games generally felt harder at that point, I took a break because of it. This is important because most people judge how good something is in DBD by how good it is against good players so these stats are kinda worthless.
Hence why I think they should just commit and show everything because we are already seeing people use these skewed stats to argue about balance may as well give them better info to work with if they are going to do it anyway. The alternative is just to stop releasing them which im also fine with, I don't need stats to tell me what killers are doing how well. I know as most here will the best killers in the game are Nurse, Blight, Sprit and Hillbilly and the worst are Trapper and the other M1s it doesn't matter how people are performing on average.
