Most boring match I had to deal with

Maybe ten minutes long with about 60% of it being that me and another survivor did nothing.

Two gens left on RPD facing a Hillbilly constantly using his chainsaw we knew we weren't escaping so we waited for one of us to get caught which was me at the end because I was sick of waiting. So basically for about 60% of the match we did nothing other then hearing the sound of the chainsaw going off every five seconds.

Unless I was trying to work toward a specific goal like "escape via hatch", I would just try to get in one last chase and move on to the next match. You are wasting your own time.

Ah, the good old hatch standoffs 2.0. Nothing has changed about them since ever. Two survivors with some gens left, so 2escapes is impossible. At least one has to die. Both survivors know it and want to be the one having a chance to escape, so it's the pure 1v1v1 at its finest, as that end scene form The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. You will see it a lot, sometimes one of the survivors sells off the teammate to the killer, so the killer kills the other one and lets the rat out. Working with the killer by definition, but nobody cares and nothing will be done even if you report the rat. Sometimes the killer slugs one survivor, and the slug starts crawling to the other one, thus giving away his position, similar result but now you can't even report the rat, and the community here defends such behavior. Sometimes the killer hooks the sold out survivor and the rat will start spamming unhook indefinitely, making it impossible to leave the trial for the victim survivor. This 1v1v1 situation is the ugliest DbD can ever get, and yet the devs don't even care about it and don't intend to change it in any way, even though people keep complaining about it for years.

MMR aka Escape Based Matchmaking. If you die - you lose MMR and get matched with potato teammates. Hatch does not change MMR, but the other survivor could have Sole Survivor build and escape through the gates, thus getting +MMR and he will be matched with better teammates next time. It's just how it works with the current EBMM system for soloQ players who want better teammates: Sole Survivor meta.

It's unfortunate really, that nothing has been done about this. I can't blame the 2 solo survivors for trying to hide until the other is caught. They are not obligated to get themself killed. However, this is technically holding the game hostage as both try to make it impossible for the killer to progress.

There really should be a mechanic that helps a killer find a survivor, if they have not chased anyone in X amount of time. Maybe 3 minutes so it can't be used as a competitive advantage. It could reveal one survivor with the least hook stages via killer instinct until the killer either starts a chase or is in close proximity.

Eh yeah I don't know why I stayed longer probably just extra BP for being near his terror radius.

There is statistically not a single person who uses sole survivor, let alone doing a gen and escaping through the gate. Everyone goes for hatch.

I have used Sole Survivor in the past since soloQ is a coin flip usually I'm the last one stand. Since either someone rage quits or basically killer finds them. Stopped after a while since it was turned into more situational times.

I just give myself up. My MMR drops a little and I get less sweaty opponents. I also don’t waste time and can go next.

Sometimes, the killers nice and decides to let me live and go look for the hiding person.

You don't have to do gens to escape through the gates. You just wait until the killer closes the hatch and then open the gates.

So you knew the match was over and decided to play hide & seek then blame the killer for it?
