Working with the killer is getting out of hand

Out of about 20 of today's soloQ games, in HALF of them a survivor was leading the killer to other survivors. Most of the times it happened with the 2 survivors remaining. Almost always the killer then proceeded to let the rat go, and once when I was ratted out and hooked, the rat was just spamming the unhook animation until I "bled out" on the hook.

The latter happened after I looped the killer for 2 gens and then did 1.5 gens and a couple of unhooks myself, including healing the survivor who ended up ratting me out and spamming unhook on me (it was a fatal mistake in soloQ, I had to know better than to just save and heal teammates here and there, duh), so no "you were hiding all game" BS here. It seemed the killer was salty at me for looping him and the survivor gladly helped him. Both of them were on console, afaik it is possible to communicate mid-game there. I even had to hide from the rat for about 3 minutes, while the killer was continuously picking him up so that he could see my aura, so I had to play a few mindgames in this regard, trying not to be killed by that killer-rat duo for as long as possible. I don't even get to play such mindgames with killers as I had to with this one survivor, and I never had to hide so hard from a nurse as I had from this Ada while she was leading the killer to me. The real survival horror starts when your teammate is trying to kill you, not the actual killer.

And I'm a soloQ enjoyer with several years of experience, so oh boy I've seen things, including similar 1v1v1 horror scenarios, and even including a rat spamming unhook animation too. But never have I seen these occasions with such density, it looks like a new trend in soloQ, as if there was a new Archive challenge "Rat out 10 of your teammates to the killer". Before, you entered soloQ with no hope of escaping, now you will be lucky if they let you die quickly, without holding you hostage on the hook. What is happening? SoloQ is sinking to the rock bottom I never imagined it even had.

I am sorry you are getting these trash survivors. I have had this kind of match many times and it is very hard to play against a killer and a survivor both. If you can record it, even on your phone, you can long-form report it. Unfortunately console has no profiles so it is anyone's guess whether they get any consequences.

This happening in half your games is pretty crazy. Last time this happened to me was back in Jan or Feb, and the time before that i cant even remember because it was so long ago. Any chance it might have been the same killer player you were getting matched with? Maybe he had it out for you?

I've noticed this is happening much more frequently. I don't know the rate but it's something I've noticed.

The issue is despite being a reportable offense there's no way report it if you dont have footage recorded.

The problem is how much of a chore it is to record literally every your game and then fill the form, without any feedback. But judging by their update history I guess we can't even hope for an automatic in-game recording feature, something like what Source engine has since 2004. So now it's either this chore or that suffering, pick your poison. I usually play whichever role gives BP bonus at the moment, because I prefer quicker queues, but I guess I'll have to go killer main for a while, and only join Survivor queue to finish archive challenges and then go next, let someone else participate in these Survivor vs Survivor duels.

I'm pretty sure it's not the same person through all of those games. The fact that you don't encounter such players suggests you play at high MMR, or maybe it's a regional thing.

I wish. It used to be an exaggeration in the past, but this time it was something. This is why I felt like creating a thread about it: sandbags and rats are business as usual for soloQ, so you can't surprise anyone, but not when you can get a whole streak in one day.

You are lucky you had years without this. I am newer and if I play solo survivor it’s at least 1 out of 3 games will have troll players.

In the last few years I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've actually had survivors blatantly working with the killer and singling me out.

I'll always without fail go for the survivor pointing out another survivor.

I had a survivor pointing out which locker a survivor went into in basement after an unhook. Guess who I went for? (hint: it wasn't the one in the locker).

From my perspective, the only time I'd ally with a "rat" is if the other survivor is a parasite who has done nothing but hide, never helped and/or tried to sabotage his team. That's extremely rare though.

Otherwise, I'd kill the rat on the spot and put the other one out. I don't remember when that last happened. Months if not years ago.

I'm inclined to believe it happens though, as I've seen a popular streamer complain about dishonorable survivors working against their team when they were about to get killed. Despicable behavior.

Thank you that someone is pointing this out. I have made many reports of survivors teaming with the killer or throwing the match by having a tauntrum with vaults and lockers. I was playing killer too, I had a survivor bring me somewhere whilst in chase and pointed at the locker, killed the snitch and let the last 2 survivors escape since they were clearly new and shouldn't have been matched with me.
I don't know if survivors are retaliating but it has been severe these past 2 months.
OP isn't exaggerating, I am experiencing this half my game too maybe it is my MMR since the killers are always letting the survivors they team with escape. I am enemies with survivors more than killers which is crazy atp
