How do i get patch at xbox version of dbd?

Im still at 7.7.0 update and i cant play with friend who play from steam and he got the newer version(7.7.1), so we are getting mismatch version error. I redownloaded the game and it still didnt fix. Any tips?

I'm on Xbox series x and got a 1.24G update just a few minutes ago (4:14pm Eastern US) to the 7.7.1 version. If your Xbox didn't update DBD automatically then you'll have to look for it yourself and start the download:
Dashboard > My Games & Apps > Manage > Updates
Both of you will need to be using the same version of the game to play.
