When the whole team DC's against a Skull Merchant
Thought i would try out a Skull Merchant game, cause surely it's a myth that people DC against her right? Well, how about an actual solo queue team, DC'ing within the first 2 minutes, and making me play with bots the whole game. That is pure evil, and trust me, it wasn't fun trying to find each single bot after each hook.. This should be illegal to put another human being through.

Gonna get flack for saying this, but the community mostly hates SM. Play a different killer or accept this is probably how it will be most of the time.

On the bright side,if you've ever wanted to 1v1 a survivor @ Cowtree, the SM is the killer to do it with

I wasn't trying to complain or anything, just thought it was hilarious, and wanted to share it.

A Skull Merchant with 4 Slowdowns. No surprise that this results in a PvE-Match to be honest.
20 -
Skull merchant is the only killer i have seen people put in their steam profile descriptions as "I refuse to play against skull merchant and will dc"
10 -
I've seen a few too. SM is the only thing I don't own on my account, and never will.
2 -
You're missing out on THWACK! bro it's one of the perks of all time
2 -
The only consistently annoying thing about Skull Merchant games is how infrequently you actually get to play them instead of having your time wasted, from either side.
My condolences.

This is the pure example of a typical complaint about "why survivors started throwing and leaving so much". When you know exactly what people hate and find obnoxious, pick the exact hated and obnoxious build just to mine some salt and make people quit, survivors actually quit, and then a bit later you create a thread about "survivors suddenly started leaving too much, surely it's because of their entitlement, I guess we must increase the punishment!"

Got it from the Shrine. That girl can rot in the Entities abyss.

this has never happened to me, maybe i should play Skull merchant more often.
1 -
It's not a complaint lmao. I thought it was funny because i was playing with bots the whole game, which is why i posted it in here. No need to be aggressive :P

So what about the Survivors Perks
3 DS's
2 Auto heal medkits
3 Hope's
2 Daja Vu's
4 Lithe's
I actually wonder what would've happened if they didn't DC
I get that Pop and PR are too much at this point… but what if Killer players don't use them
2 -
If they would not have DCed they would have had a miserable game against one of BHVRs biggest failures.
16 -
These are the least problematic things you’ve ever listed. I cannot believe you put Lithe, DS, and Deja Vu up there like they’re a problem. Deja Vu is literally a nothing perk. Resilience maybe but only one guy ran it.
7 -
I was listing out what perks the Survivors were running… I'm not saying that they are strong perks but having multiple Survivors running them makes them stronger
0 -
What if they dont? Survivors could not bring meta perks and… so? What if the killer still tunnels?
Killers tunnel and run regression because survivors genrush and bring flashlights because Killers tunnel and run regression because survivors genrush and bring flashlights because Killers tunnel and run regression because survivors genrush and bring flashlights because Killers tunnel and run regression because survivors genrush and bring flashlights because Killers tunnel and run regression because survivors genrush and bring flashlights, Etc Etc Etc.
Or, insert anything as a reason. Bad game last match. Bad day at work. Dropped your banana split. Thylita still wont give it up.
Any reason under the sun is enough to bring builds and styles that is quite known to be horrible. Yay humans!

Honestly I've probably seen more people have Wesker = DC in their bio.
1 -
For real though. There is so much of this sort of thing in the game at the moment and it has only gotten worse.

I've been playing Skull Merchant here and there just to see if people would DC against me. I barely know how to use her power and only have one perk slot on her, and I play generally nice anyway. So far I haven't had anyone DC against me.
2 -
Survivors usually never DC against me when I play her because I use 4 chase perks.

I’m actually currently collecting SM game data to see if the DC/give up rate is as bad as people say, as well as to get a better idea of how much the SM kill rate is being influenced by this.
I’m waiting to post my data until I get a larger sample size but so far at 40 games the DC/give up rate is 80% of the matches..like wow that’s high. About 90% of those give ups and dc’s are within the first 30-60 seconds of the match too. So it has nothing to do with perks or play style, literally it’s mostly giving up as soon as they see me.
So far this leads me to think her kill rates are significantly inflated beyond what they realistically are.
2 -
I have also been having this problem. Game should t even continue atp.

I would imagine her kill rate is very much inflated. She has no way to down someone efficiently. It would be interesting to see her kill rate in matches with no d/cs.
1 -
KIll rates provided by deaths only include games with no dcs. Of course players can just give up, so it will indeed be inflated, but not as much as one might think. I guess without that, she would be equal to most of the other killers kill rates.
About "no way to down someone efficiently", I disagree. If you keep them at a loop and drop a drone, they become injured due to the trap in no time, and still cannot run away. Her undetectable when inside the drone area helps alot as well, you don't need to play mindgames with your red stain at all.

Well back in the day you could start a match as for example spirit, have no perks at all and if the enemy team had one OoO and were an swf, they would DC immediately.
(Most probably DC penalties weren't a thing at the time or off but the mentality is the same.)
But when you say they dced after 2 minutes, in combination with your perks, I would say it wasn't only your choice of killer but also your play style and at that point I have to ask, what did you expect, choosing the most hated things INTENTIONALLY?
That makes your moral standpoint as low as survivor running intentionally into the killer and then crying "tunneler".

Thats was my last game as SM:
Equally equipped survivor team I would say, but no one dc'ed and we played out the game just normally. Vittorio got the hatch at the end (one gen left). As you can see, I did NOT choose to play full slowdown, but played 3 random + personal perk as always (and got lucky with pop, gotta admit).
Thats all just anectotal evidence, I know. But in my experience, survivor rarely DC against SM if you play something original / off meta, and go for chases instead of gen patrol. There's no point in complaining about having to play a full bot lobby, when you are running the most hated killer with an overly obnoxious build, and maybe even apply her boring gen defense style. You are pretty much asking for it at this point.

I know your joking but… a quad slowdown skull merchant is similarly hell.

I dont use them and I do absolutely fine.

totally agree. She needs a complete overhaul
