When Netflix are being annoying in giving you mind flayer/vecnor so you go direct to the source, only to then find out that the most successful game of 2023 was also based off of dnd

I'm not sure how to feel. On one hand i'm disappointed and not really interested but on the other hand i'm willing to give it a chance in game.
Also… why'd they put this out now?… did the stream get leaked again?0 -
If its nother recycled sameish power... Better be not, this is fantasy IP, so be creative and magical even with the power please!

I mean, is this a killer teaser or a cosmetic teaser?
0 -
It's the new chapter
0 -
It doesn't really make that clear though, just from this teaser alone.
0 -
Cosmetics have never been teased this way.

Isn't this coming out later this month?

My interest is piqued...

The survivor better be an elf.

not happy about it… WotC is not a company I wanna give money to

Dang, was hoping for predator

........Huh

awww kinda hoped the rumours to turn out false but well. It is what it is. Not disappointed just.. indifferent(?)
So Macmillan entity egg is probably something related to the anniversary event after all
3 -
While true, I consider it a possibility due to this being near the anniversary and it's possible WotC wanted more fanfare for this collaboration.
That said, something like D&D to me makes more sense as a cosmetics thing than a full chapter. But if it is a chapter, I hope it's a good one.

I'm not the only one who started laughing when I saw the giant eye, right?

I'm really looking forward to this and - whilst this seems to imply the leaked Killer may be true - what I am interested in is why the monster shown is a Beholder! Does this mean that the Killer is actually a Beholder, or that the Beholder is part of the power?
Is I remember well, each eye of the Beholders has varying effects in the boardgame. If so, will they give this killer multiple powers, or even a set of elemental powers?
I do hope the Beholder is at least part of the power.

I would be interested to hear why, i know nothing about this company.

one very good reason would be that they decidet to fire the whole team that supported larian when they made gb3 just after bg3 won game of the year and was a massive succes for both companies. thats also one of the reasons why larian inst going to make a bg4

Was kinda hoping for some big anniversary stream reveal and not just....DnD twitter randomly dropping it on a thursday afternoon.
Imagine if 4 days before the 4th anniversary stream Konami just tweeted "Oh yeah Pyramid Head's coming to DbD have fun tune in to find out more info"

I'm more interested in what the map could possibly be. Excited for the survivor as well.
I doubt it happens but add a Dwarf.

a lot to go into… it's like asking what's the issue with blizzard…
there were the changes in the ogl. explained briefly here
sending the pinkertons to someone's house because they sent someone the wrong product. (pinkertons being the villains in red dead redemption 2 in case you did not know)
using AI in promotional material, which is against what they stand for in theory, pretending it's not AI and then taking it back when it is shown to clearly be AI.
people stealing art to use in magic cards.(there are more than on this link)
they left brazil.
hasbro (who owns wotc) fired 1100 people right before christmas.

….so if the new killer is a Beholder, can we throw pebbles in its eye(s) to blind it?
1 -
Yea I can't get excited about anything that comes out of WOTC anymore. A once great company now easily forgotten.

It could be cool. A killer that gives you different debuffs based on spell you get hit with
- fire injures you and gradually takes down ur injured bar.
-ice is like a hook but frozen and you have to be thawed to be saved.
- electricity injures you and makes your skill checks like MS for x amount of time.

For the uninitiated…
Beholders (the cyclopse creature in the video) create a cone of anti-magic in whichever direction their large eye is looking.
While a Beholder is a monstrosity worthy of being a DBD killer in it's own right, I wonder if the teaser is hinting at a part of the Killer's gameplay loop. Perhaps there will be a secondary objective for Survivors that compell them to keep the Beholder locked in the basement?
If set loose, the Beholder could be capable of nullifying all of a Survivor's perks while staring at them.0 -
Any chance of us getting esteemed drow paladin Drizzt Do Urden?
