Did anyone get a free key for What the Fog
It kept giving me an error as I tried to hit continue to get a free key. Now it says all gone. Less than a minute of it being announced. Did anyone get one? I'm really bummed it was gone within seconds.

Sort of.
They announced a small game that was obtainable with free keys on a site they dropped on stream.
The keys went out of stock within minutes. And the site's now dead because of extreme traffic.
The game's available for purchase on steam as normal, too.

I won't be supporting What the Fog in any capacity.
It was impossible for me to get a key even though I instantly followed the instructions.
Seems like the keys were instantly gone and they're just saying to try later/keys are left to get sign-ups for BHVR accounts.

Honestly the thing stopping me from buying this game is how buggy DBD has been over the years. I don't trust buying a different game from them. It's the reason I didn't buy Meet Your Maker. I was going to give it a try with a free code and I am bummed I didn't get one, but not bummed enough to give them 5 dollars.

Wait, update. I got a code. I hit refresh one more time and now it shows a code for me instead saying there are no more codes or saying to click next to get a code. I guess keep trying if you want a code.

What is frustrating is that I felt like it was worded in a way where it was like if you ALREADY have a bhvr account, which I did, you'd get one automatically, and people who were signing up might get a chance for it. But I won't be supporting it either.
edit: every time I refresh the page either doesn’t load, loads and the keys are out or it allows me to try to claim it. I put in my email, check the boxes and hit continue and the dialog closes. Gonna try a bit longer.
edit 2: finally got my key, but I still feel like this maybe should have been planned better, at least scale their resources on aws/azure/whatever which would have probably mitigated these issues.Post edited by KingFieldShipper on0 -

I thought the forums account was a BHVR account but apparently not. Seems the dropdown list for selecting a country isn't working, even when the page does load. So I can't make one. Hopefully they fix soon.

I was sat here constantly refreshing my browser and I still missed out on a free key, anyway.
But I'm glad somebody here got the game.
Edit: I got a key!
I hope there are plenty left for the rest of you, but keep trying if you're able, because there might still be some keys left.

I got even further….linked my steam account and all and still no code.

The site is broken:
- refuses my account,
- refuses to make an account using the same email as this account,
- wants me to give the country but the list is empty
After the about 40 minutes it took to finally reach the link, the keys were gone.
There is no direct way to delete the account so I plan to delete the associated mailbox instead.

I got a code but i spammed refresh a lot across different tabs and i kept trying to claim a key even though it said they ran out. Managed to get one about 15 mins ago.

I can log in but every time I click on "Discover more" it loads into nothingness. And that's it. Kinda disappointing :x

Okay so I just tried it and after it flashed a quick notice that keys were out, it gave me a key anyway. So I guess there are still some available.

Console players should have the same chances of getting the free keys as the PC players. Console players couldn’t buy the game tho cuz it’s only on steam as of now, which is sucky.

There are lots of keys left! We are currently investigating the issues with claiming on the website.

It's still not working. Every time I click on Discover More, there is nothing loading and I have to completely reload the website because the whole UI is missing.
