Lara Croft ain't a bad guess to be honest. What with the trilogy remaster happening recently.
Rick Grimes is also a good guess too from @tenoresax . Maybe even Daryl Dixon. Since Norman Reedus has used his likeness and voice elsewhere before.

i feel like apocalypse survivors would fit (eg Walking Dead, Last of Us) - but I feel like they wouldn’t tease just one survivor when they would definitely come with some legendary skins?2 -

If I had to think of a licensed hero character not in DBD that's presumably more popular than the villains from their series, I'd say it's between Rick Grimes, Sidney Prescott, and Isaac Clarke.
We'll see though, I am glad we ended up getting one reveal that slipped past leakers.
