What the fog??? My data?!
I just want to thank you for selling my data. If you can, please send it out with a couple chocolates, a rose, and a letter expressing my gratitude (preferably with a lipstick kiss by the signature).

A good rule of thumb…. if you aren't paying for a product, you are the product.

good news, you can immediately opt-out afterwards again

@GoodBoyKaru You included a key in the screenshot, you may want to remove it if it was uninentionally added (not quoting the post because I think the quote would preserve the screenshot even if edited?)
I don't know how it works legally, but my interpretation of this box is that you still allow them to sell all your data to these companies until you opt out again. So even if you immediately opt out again it's still legal for them to sell your data. It's possible they are not allowed to initiate the "process" of sending your data after you opt out, but it should be possible for them to start that / send a copy of your data immediately after you check the box and submit the form.
The safest option is to not check this box in the first place, but it's also entirely possible that if you opt out quickly enough nothing is done with your data.

5 days to get off the email list. Too late to stop your email getting sold to "trusted" 3rd parties.

Maybe a stupid question but…
Doesn't DbD itself also do this?

Not sure if you don't know or not but you are required to tick these boxes to actually get the key. So if you wanted the game for free you'll have to opt in at least temporarily

to be fair up to 5 days to be taken off of the mailing list and up to 5 days to stop having data shared are two different things, and one of them is a much more substantial breach of gdpr than the other
