What are those perk's that turn Red instead of the base purple?
I know i look like an absolute idiot, but i've seen so many killer vids, vods etc, and some of their perks are Red or Light Blue, I'm experienced in terms of using a killer and mastering it, but not everything outside of it, can someone tell me?

some people use custom pics for perks, I don’t know if you mean those? Can be used to change character portraits as well.
It’s basically just changing the image files to those that you want client-sides.
BHVR has stated they don’t have a problem with it and won’t go out of their way to ban those that do it BUT it’s still technically changing game files and if EAC ever bans for it BHVR won’t be able to help.
Or are you taking about the smaller perk icons that sometimes show up right next to your perk load out in game? They are smaller and either red (detrimental for you possibly cause of killer perk or addon effect) or light blue (beneficial possibly perk from teammate or boon effect)2

It's modifying game files but bhvr won't ban you for it. But, if EAC flags it and bans you, bhvr will not unban you.

As others mentioned here, the modifying of Game Files, including custom perk icons or portraits, is something that is not condoned. If EAC flags the files and bans you for these, BHVR will be unable to unban you, and it would have to be appealed with the EAC.
