Have you gotten that new perk in your loadout yet? You know, the one that "comes at the greatest cost" and allows you to revive a dead teammate 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

I still am not over that post 🤣😂🤣😂

Nope! I count myself lucky that I haven't had to pay the high price of reviving a team mate for an entire health state 😂 who would want that?

    WOOO \o/ best mode

The highest cost was that if the dead teammate was hooked a 4th time, they were instantly sacrificed 😆 🤣 😂

    Awesome.

Next can we make it permanent?

This is awesome. People were really enjoying it and there's nothing going on gameplay wise for the next 2 weeks so extending this until D&D chapter is awesome.

I wouldn't be opposed to making it a permanent mode, but i'd like to know what the devs think about doing that.

It's very nice to see the community enjoy this modifier enough for BHVR to extend it. Personally, I'm enjoying addon-less M1 only Knight in this mode, so I'll probably keep doing that.

Such great news! Really glad they’re listening to the community on how much we love it. Seems like a lot of us want it to be permanent, myself included. It’s such a refreshing game mode and feels like a casual mode that isn’t so try hard. I’d like if they also made items, addons, and offerings random as well.

WIth a real random shuffle this time?

Cool. I still really don't understand why ppl love this mode so much but I'm happy for them. I know alot of ppl love this modifier. Personally tho my matches didn't feel anymore different in this mode vs normal matches. Maybe I'm just so burnt out that even this mode isn't fun for me.

    HUGE W

    now make it permanent :3

If you wanna make it fun install a blank perk pack

Trust me, popping Adrenaline when you didnt even know you had Adrenaline in the middle of a chase makes you feel like you have protagonist plot armor

I’m very glad they took the feedback from us, I generally love this mode a lot, them extending it is proof that they do listen, which is promising!

I’d love for them to make it permanent if possible!

I want to play Chaos Shuffle without the event map chance increase. It is extremely boring and counter intuitive to have a random mode where you go to one of only a couple of maps over and over instead of the entire lineup.

MAKE IT A PERMANENT MODE, IT'S WAY 2 GOOD TO NOT BE PERMANENT. IT JUST MAKES SENSE TO RANDOMIZE PERKS, LIKE A NEW GAME EVERY MATCH.

I don't understand why it needs to go away at all. There are obviously enough players for multiple game modes. I would literally never play normal mode again if it became permanent. Not having to go against high tier killers with four slowdowns every match is the most fun i've had in a long time. Nearly every game I have is actually competitive and it feels great. It really shows how hard perks carry a lot of people.

Chaos Shuffle is the most fun I've had in DBD for years. Great the event has been extended but I will still be very sad to see it go.

Big win frfr, I'm about to be on the grind for some BP. Plus, this is just a great mode.

Big brain decision made here! Thank you so much!

Please make this permanent. It's clearly amazingly popular, it's a great advertising tool for people wanting to try out certain perks, it's almost the perfect casual mode for those wanting to escape the usual meta and - at least in my experience - because it's more chilled people are a lot more friendly and agreeable in chat.

This mode would be a huge for the game. Even if it becomes permanent in this state, with changes towards more randomization later down the line after the 2v8, I would absolutely be spending more time on this game. The best thing you guys have done in some time, and you have done some great things recently especially, so that says a lot!

I love the mode but my only complaint is there needs to be one extra perk for both roles that inhibits gen rush and tunneling.

Both sides of this coin can be very bad. I had a spirit faze directly to the hook every unhook. I can put in the usual complaints about such but bleh...you get the idea.

  • GentlemanFridge

I don't think you'd want an extra perk slot to do that.

We need a robust, base system that prevents tunnelling from being so effective.

In that case, mics would have no real counter but to buff either without the other being done likewise is not good.

Same. I'll be in Chaos mode forever if it sticks around. It's literally breathed new life into the game for me. People have been asking for ranked vs unranked mode for so long, and I've honestly been against it because I know what this playerbase is like and plenty of competitive players with meta perks would play unranked just for the chance to steamroll casual players. This mode is probably the closest we can get to separating competitive and casual play without people ruining it.

Well grass feels the same every time. Unless it's mowed and spikey. This is random and fun lol.

I'm fine with a true chaos mode as long as it's temporary. But if they add a permanent chaos mode then it should not include random add ons. First of all, add ons are consumed on use. Players should never be forced to consume things they don't want to consume. Even if they were willing to make it so that add ons wouldn't be consumed if they were randomly assigned it is still super problematic since a lot of killer addons can negatively effect the player. For instance, I'd be pretty mad if I was playing Hillbilly and I got the add on that makes it so my chainsaw doesn't down survivors but gave me more bloodpoints.

I think what most people want isn't random items, addons or offerings. What they want is the most broken things to be restricted to make the experience more casual friendly. There is a much easier way to do this than making things random. Just make is so players can't bring anything over green rarity to the match. That would be much fairer, simpler and easier to implement.

This is true... all the more reason to stay cooped up with DBD

There's a lot less stress and responsibility while playing since you don't really get to decide your kit before going in, I'm hooked tbh

Of course people love this. Sure, killers still tunnel, camp and slug for that sweet 4k but at least we don't have to deal with 4 slowdown perks so much

  • BlackRose89
    BlackRose89 Member Posts: 393

Really? I found the mode more stressful especially as killer. Alot of my matches as killer while I was trying to finish the challenge felt just as stressful and sweaty as normal DBD. Sure I didn't have to deal with some of the annoying survivor perks but most groups still came in with the best medkits and toolboxes. Gens still felt like they flew by. I was so stressed out honestly especially when I got perks like insidious...

Maybe I've just been getting more favorable matches, but I think the lack of gen slowdown is balanced a little by survs not being able to control whether they have exhaustion perks or other strong options like Deli or Unbreakable. 4 Toolboxes is always scary, but I honestly feel like I've got more going for me than before considering I hardly ever run more than one or at most two slowdown perks at a time.

But yeah, sometimes you have your bad games where the survs bring out the big guns itemwise and get good perks, meanwhile the game gives you Shattered Hope for the third time in a row (seriously what were the chances of that) although I'd say the fact this is a more casual mode has generally just decreased the feeling to rush all the time. It's part of why I'm slowly warming more and more up to the idea of a casual and ranked que.

  • BlackRose89
    BlackRose89 Member Posts: 393

Well guess I just have had the worst luck then bc 90% of matches have felt like uphill battles as killer and honestly it no different from normal in how stressful and bad it feels to lose to that. I think that is why I don't like the idea of casual or ranked bc no more what mode you que for 90% of your matches will still feel the same and feel unfair/unfun. I don't mind losing don't get me wrong but I hate losing when the match is completely one-sided. I feel the same way about winning as will, it not fun to win a one side match either. My matches in the new mode still felt like making matches in normal. Competely one-sided match where all the fun was sucked out in mere minutes of loading in.

Its the main reason I dont play dbd as much anymore and playing OW2 more. My matches for the last year have felt the same and this new mode nothing really has changed. It used not feel like this, when I started playing back when the first RE chapter came out, my matches felt even and fun. I used to have so much fun and could play for hours. Now I can barely do one single match before I say ######### it and log off. I dont know if its because Im a high mmr or its because I have over 1000s hours but the game just isnt fun for me and I hate it so so so much. I want to have fun with dbd, I want to play it but the results is always the same when I try to play it…

  • ArkInk
    ArkInk Member Posts: 717

I think you might just be burnt out on the game tbh. Regardless of the random perks, this is still DBD, with all the boons and curses that come with it. If even just a match is enough for you to call it a night, maybe it's time to take a break? I've been here since launch, and ended up taking a somewhat substantial break when Twins released. After returning the game has felt fresh and I don't feel as inclined to take things as seriously as before, because it's simply the nature of the game.

So in short, "maybe you are just tired, play something else for a week. Try Civilization or something."

I wish we could see our perks during the loading screen so we have a few seconds to read descriptions before the trial begins.

I hate having to go check them all out at the start of a trial because you lose valuable time.
