What Survivors do you feel bad for?

We know that many of the Survivors are just peacefully living their lives when the Entity decides to pluck them from their realities.

Which Survivor’s stories tug at your heartstrings? I’m going through all the Survivor adepts and I’m on Adam Francis right now. It’s just so sad. This poor guy worked so hard to achieve a satisfying life. When he finally finds some stability and equilibrium the Entity decides it’s time to steal Mr. Francis away. In the words of @Hexonthebeach : “######### u entity!” 🤣

Anyways, what Survivor lore makes you feel bad for them?

Oh wow… I have chills. That’s insane… Too insane actually. Even for me! Wow Silent Hill, as always, continues to terrify me.

Claudette as she is such a lovely and sweet personality

Meg because she was caring for her mother and possibly the only one that looked after her and while she has to go through all these horrors she has to worry for her still

Wasn’t Adam taken by the Entity shortly before he died?

I thought this was talking about survivor players at first and I was gonna make a whole spiel about the great give-uppening we have right now, but based off the lore… I think I gotta go with Thalita and Renato.

Think about it, they were just hanging out on the beach flying kites, and they just suddenly see some big business guy get literally slaughtered by this crazy lady who's trying to be like her dad's manga character (they don't know that last bit but still). And then as they're running away, they get taken into another dimension, never to be seen by their family and friends ever again.

On top of all that, there's one more thing that's actually pretty rough that I personally consider canon, but I got it from a Youtuber so take this part with an entire rock of salt. If I recall correctly, it's implied through the lore that Thalita actually goes kinda crazy because of everything. Even after being taken by the Entity, she sees her and Renato running on the beach towards safety. So, if that's true and I'm not accidentally making that up, that means that Thalita is in a semi-conscious state of being, perceiving the trials as herself and Renato on the beach, still in their lives in their world. Along with that, think about Renato! Thalita is his rock, and if she has a crumbling sanity, his foundation may as well be gone.

There're definitely worse stories where you feel bad about the survivors (shoutout Meg and Jeff), but for me, the Lyra siblings steal it. Maybe I'm biased because I think of myself and my younger siblings, idk.

another thing about them is that they have to see their sibling that they are very close to having to endure these horrors along with them and often not being able to help or knowing their sibling is there trying to help but unable to

Same goes kinda for Sable and Mikaela as at least from Sables PoV they are very close as well

Oh yeah I guess so huh? He would’ve died if the Entity didn’t take him… Well, it’s still just so sad

That is literally the best thing I've ever had anyone say about a single thing I've written, thank you :')

That's a point I really should've thought about and somehow didn't, thanks for the reminder. Now I feel even worse for them lol

I feel bad for Meg the most. She was taking care of her sick mother, and dropped college just to care for her which was really sweet.

Her being taken is a tragedy because not only will she not see her mother again, but she would’ve died without Meg’s care, never being able to see a loved one again honestly just the thought breaks my heart.

I've stopped caring for the lore the moment they've rewritten the Nurse's for the worse.

Jeff. Guy just wanted to make art and enjoy music. He had a troubled childhood with parents who fought a lot, then divorced. Didn't get to see his dad again, then his dad died. Then he got kidnapped by a cruel alien god for no reason. And no one took care of his dog.

Most of them, really! Especially Cheryl, because she's already been through more than enough ######### in her life, without having to deal with another paranormal event.

Also, I'm going to say Alan Wake. The only survivor I believe who has evidence he made it out (a hint from a manuscript of him leaving a place of darkness into a place of fog, and he also has appeared in Fortnite and made a comment about Helldivers, showing his attempts to write himself out of the Dark Place is sending him all over). Alan Wake is appearing in multiple Hells in multiple places. I wouldn't be surprised if he's been in worse places than this.

Totally Dwight. Just being the laughingstock, a nobody who was trying to be somebody. I actually wonder if those guys who left him in the woods even noticed that he was never heard from again, or if they would even care.

Maybe, if he does became an actual leader in the Fog, he can finally earn some respect.

    Nobody

    Why would you care?

It's pixels on a screen not a person'.

Probably Meg, as others have said.

But also Felix… or rather his wife and unborn child. There's that guy who, after his first brush with the fog and his parents disappearing, finally got his sh* together again and is looking forward to being a dad and then that thing that took his father from him takes him away from his unborn child.

Yes! Claudette is the most lovely and sweetest survivor. I always try to let them go if they’re not the UltraTerror Claudette of Nightmares who knows how to juice pallets and loop like no other and t-bags at every pallet stun.

it’s definitely the character and not the majority of players of Claudette that are lovely and sweet 😂

James Sunderland Is also a survivor people forget about

I’ve been replaying silent hill 2 several times and I’m trying to get all the endings unlocked and the more I’ve been playing (and replaying) it the more I understand James as a character to the point I feel bad for him being in the entities realm

I’m not gonna spoil anything because silent hill 2 is truly a horror experience and it’s best to be played without knowing anything about it

    Claudette…

(not necessarily lore related but) something about her cries while she is on the floor breaks my heart. :\

Bill. Man's a war vet and died by three steroid zombies to save his friends while fixing a gen and was ready to finally be free from the world just to be brought into another world and forced to fix more gens. Not to mention man is old.

Gabriel tbh, He is on a mission that Huxly Corp does not even know the survivability rate of so they send Clones of people that have fake memories, he witnesses everyone on his team die one by one, and being stranded in an entire planet by himself with killer android he sends a message to his parents to hopefully reach them but he doesn't know that they aren't even real and just a fake memory implanted in his head

I wouldn't worry about Bill. Last I checked, a battle he can fight forever is exactly what he wanted.

Didn't Dwight end up in the Entity's realm after his coworkers ditched him at a company retreat or something? I don't feel like looking up the lore but I remember thinking "what a crappy way to end up in spider purgatory."
