Isn't blocking supposed to block communication?

Hello,

Now I know blocking doesn't actually prevent you from playing with a person you blocked but I was under the impression that it blocked any communication. For the most part this isn't an issue when dealing with console players but when the person is a PC player even if I block someone who says bad things I'm still able to see their comments. Is the block function broken or am I completely misunderstanding the point of this feature?

I think it only blocks the feature to send (/spam) friend requests in-game.

As to end-game chat messages, I thought it would be included but maybe only for the next match and not the current one where you just blocked them? I don’t know though..

block in DbD does literally nothing but blocking friend request and to inform you if you click on a player in a lobby next time you play, that you blocked them and to dodge.. The button is just useless
