Should Lightborn be part basekit?
Yes, you've read the title right, and yes, you're probably wondering how this is even possible, and why I'm asking about it. Well, let me explain. You see, most matches I've had as Killer, Survivors were always bringing flashlights nearly every single game, and let me tell you, it can get really annoying when all Survivors are capable of chain blinding you for prolonged periods. It can almost feel like Survivors have unlimited charges on their flashlight, because it feels like it never runs out, especially when it's paired with Streetwise and Built to Last.
Another thing I find extremely annoying, is when you are trying to vault a window, or destroy pallets to close in on Survivors, and they start blinding you continuously, and then end up not being able to chase Survivors anymore, because of this. It becomes almost impossible trying to chase a single Survivor who continuously blinds you, while you are stuck in an animation, unable to avoid the blind, and I know you can also look up or down to recover quicker from the blind, but still, these flashlights need to be nerfed somehow.
So that's why I decided to come up with this idea not too long ago, and make a few changes to either buff the Killer or nerf the flashlights.
Here are my thoughts:
Idea 1:
• When blinded by any means, Survivors can no longer chain blind, or extend the blindness duration after already being blinded.
• After you have fully recovered from blindness, you are immune to blindness caused by flashlights, firecrackers, flashbangs and blast mines for the next 5 seconds.
Idea 2:
• When a Survivor has used a flashlight for more than 3 seconds, the flashlight will overheat.
• When a flashlight is about to overheat, flashlights not being used within the next 6 seconds, will start cooling it down.
• When a flashlight has overheated, the flashlight will deactivate and cannot be used within the next 15 seconds.
• When a flashlight has been deactivated, the flashlight will start cooling down within the duration of 15 seconds.
So those were my ideas. They may not be great changes, but they can certainly help Killers not lose chase as frequently, and waste a bit of the Survivor's time. Now, I'm not thinking of this on the Developers' side of things, but merely a suggestion.
PS: Don't think of this post too seriously, it's just an idea I had, and would like to see a number of votes on who agrees or disagrees.

I think flashlights should stay the same. If they really bother you just use lightborn, shadowborn or even hex: two can play if you want to blind survivors back.

I think flashlight nerf sounds better.
I did vote but chain blinding is done by bully squads. If it isn't possible they move on to doing something else. The issue is with the players not with the game.
