We have a big problem here!!
Hello!!
I'm new here but i play this game from the beginning. I'm usually play 3/4 games during my lunch break and every time its the same story. I'm lucky if there is only one quitter, but usually there are 3. Every time i report them but it's always the same story... I think for this dumb players its mor convinient to quit and start a new game instead to finish the current one and maybe gonna lose it. I do not undestand why measures are not taken against this. I think a 5h bann would be enough to make more convinient end a game than quit it.
I'm getting tired of playing in these conditions... i wase close to buy the new killer but I thought it was not worth spending more money on a game like this

DC are automatically tracked by the system and if they exceed a certain threshold of disconnects to played matches... they get a ban for it. But it is a progressive ban system.. 24hrs... then more and more till perma. I've heard this is checked weekly... might be daily... but when it first started it seemed like it was monthly.
You don't need to report people who DCs.
DCs have to be dealt with better now with the new emblem system changes. With people DCing they are gonna make it extremely tough for anyone to rank up in the red ranks.

I understand, but if for every game I make there is almost one quitter... means that this system does not work.

The problem ist how to differentiate the quitters. You wanna punish all of them the same?

You're assuming they always DC every single trial, which is absurd. The threshold is indeed high, but your assumption that the system doesn't work based on having different people DCing is ridiculous.

well i done a statistic. Every 3 game i played, there are 2 with 1 or more quitter. I think it's obvious that something is not working. It's simple: A game its lasts 15 minutes or 20... if a quitter it's immediatly banned for 1 hour its more convinient for him to finish the game and not quit.

DCing is an issue. People rage quit on me all the time. Doesn't really bother me because the survivors are just screwing each other over, not me lol. Rage quitters is an issue that plague most games and most games don't do anything about it.
Punishing DCers is kind of a sensitive thing. People have computer issues, internet issues, real life issues (this is a VIDEO GAME) etc. So how can you justify punishing someone because their kid was crying or something? It needs to be light enough so it's not really that big of a deal but harsh enough to punish people that repetitively do it.
Honestly, out of all the games I've played, I think HoTS had the best punishment for disconnecters. Just make it so if youDC, you can only reconnect back to the trial you quit from (and leave your character in the game instead of dying).

You're looking at it from your point of view, but the automated system bans players based on individual DC rates. Can you imagine what it'd be like if it banned people based on the DC rates of other people (which is the statistic you've gathered)? It'd be ridiculous.

get used to it, report em. just the average millenial percentage of the playerbase

Reporting DCing does nothing, kinda like ageism.

Now DC's directly affect your score.

Actually it will effect you as a killer the higher rank you go.
The earlier the survivor DCs the more emblem points you lose out on. One DC early in the match basically means you won't white pip.
A killer not doing anything.. can cause all the survivors to de-pip.
Any SWF group that wants to screw the killer out of a pip can just DC and they will de-pip them most likely.

Real life issues are no excuse.
Bring that crying kid out, shoot him, get your ass back and click Ready, we're all waiting for you!

Could go afk in a locker. At least waste the killer's time pulling you out and carrying you to a hook.

@Mr_K that's what I usually do when something comes up. I hope you understand shooting a kid was a joke, it is wrong to do such a thing. Regularly beating them until they learn to stay quiet is enough.

It's not really that complex. They DC? 15/30/60 min. ban etc.
Real life issues or not, it does not matter. You screwed over your teammates, you deserve a punishment.
