Survivors, what is a fun Killer to you?

Survivor mains specifically, when do you have most fun against a Killer?

Is it a match filled with back and forth moments? A couple of hooks followed by a couple of generators after a long chase? Maybe perhaps the obvious: not being bled out, camped, or tunneled?

Survivors, what are the hallmarks of a 10/10 game for you?

I'm a 'wherever the bloodpoint incentive is' main, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but my favorite match is one where I get to do a bit of everything. I don't like only being chased. I don't like only sitting on gens. And I run a heal build most of the time, so I like being able to do unhooks and frickin' nyoom up that heal bar before the killer can even come back. I'm happy if I pull off a good play that buys time for my team to do something crucial. I dislike being slugged for the 4k or because the killer wants to bleed everyone out, but otherwise don't care about slugging; it's mostly just a 'this match is over, let me leave' situation. Camping is more of an eyeroll than anything else nowadays. Tunneling (deliberate 3v1-two-minutes-in tunneling, not just incidental 'I found you twice in a row' type stuff) annoys me most and I'll drop whatever I'm doing to interfere with the attempted tunnel. And obviously I want teammates who don't kill themselves on hook, don't throw the match because they have flashlights for brains, and don't hide half the game and barely do anything. Few things are more annoying than taking chase for a minute and a half and nobody touching a gen in that entire time.

And whether I escape or die horribly, I have a lot more fun if the killer has a sense of humor - stopping to headshake if I screw up a play, 'heck was that' staring when there's a bug or a teammate does something bizarre, slow turns from blastmine or to a locker, acknowledging mori photobombs, etc. I don't expect it, it's pretty rare, but it's always a fun bonus that automatically makes me enjoy a match pretty much no matter what else happens in it.

I must admit: mostly I give a thumbs up to the rounds where I escaped or the killer let me out.

I like sweaty killer, memeing killer (I'm horribly in that) or meme builds. Farm rounds are ok sometimes but don't like them much.

So a 10/10 game is if all survivor working together, no one dcs and doing their best. Thats the best games for me.

    • I don't care about killer, perks he brings to the game or addons.... the important thing is not slugging and not tunneling, for me it will be a fun/normal game. for some killers (like bubba and huntress) non-camping is appreciated🤣

Had a challenge to stun the killer multiple times and the killer tunneled me for that. I got my challenge the killer got his revenge. That was a 10/10 fun game for me, too.

Same with slugging it's just a few minutes on the ground, I rly don't care. It's kinda funny if you and your teammates slugging around the map. If a killer think he can bother me with that, ok. Do whatever you want. 🙂

What I'm looking for, ideally, is good chase, relatively fair play, and a decent amount of progress on both sides.

My favorite games are when I feel like matchmaking worked. I'm also pretty biased towards certain killers because they're inherently fun to go against. OG killers, mostly. I love a trapper or a bing bong. I usually love GF too. Killers that have medium strength abilities and maybe take some thought or planning to play well. I get excited and find joy in being genuinely outfoxed by a well placed trap or a jump scare.

A back and forth match that could go either way, where everyone is on two hook states before the first kill. Ideally no one goes to second stage from their first hook. Even when we(my friends and I) die in these matches, the outcome feels earned. Going against a killer that goes for 12 individual hooks is one of the best, thrilling, high stakes feelings that are usually one in a million but make the best moments with friends and have you jumping out of your chair with anticipation.

We're not a main but since that's never stopped us before...

What we like can be summed up as excitement. Killer tunnel and camp at the start is dull. Killer tunneling at the end while everyone is scrambling to try and save? Exciting. A basic [BEEP] build and not doing anything surprising is dull but that same build making ambushes and startling the heck out of us is nice. A stomp is usually dull but can be exciting depending on how it ends up such as last second hatch.

Kinda hard to explain but a not predictable and exciting match is fun for us, win or lose.

Thanks for the answers everyone. I appreciate them all. Okay so question:

From a Survivor POV, does the game feel more fun when the Killer leaves hook wide open? Or is it more fun if you don’t know whether the Killer may or may not come back to hook? I mean, different things for different people for sure. But I do still wonder what players prefer.

When I’m playing Killer I tend to leave the hook massively unguarded. It conditions the Survivor team into thinking unhooks are safe. Unless I’m really trying to play mind games with the Survivors I never cash in on it. But I do sometimes wonder, do any of these Survivors find it boring that I’m pretty much giving free unhooks?

I like it when the killer leaves hooks wide open, I get comfy thinking they're playing nice, and then Devour Hope pops up.

I like having hooks left wide open, it's very polite, but variety is the spice of life and all.

Alien. Hearing a ton of noise pollution and having a crispy alien yell REEEE just tickles my survivor brain.

I like Pinhead too I love stealing the Box and listen to the music
