Why are many of us equated ingame with players who have restrictions? DBD 18+ ?
well,
I would really like to know. Excuse me, but I thought DBD was 18+?
I'll give you an example that mainly concerns the effects in the game
2:25 - 2:35 Doctor Hallu effect
or here
0:07 - 0:11 Spirit
It's like the flashing light effect and mainly affects epilepsy players…..
What I actually want to say with this post is that DBD lives from such effects and is also somehow dependent on them.
With the colorblind settings, you've managed that too. Please give us the opportunity to play with these effects, with the option to turn them on or off. Everyone would benefit from this.
Please don't get me wrong. I just have the impression that all players are suffering as a result. Why else were such things removed? ..... There's really no other answer to that.

It would definitely be dope to have those back tbh. Also spirits sword used to shatter when hitting a wall. They’ll probably never come back but you can ask in the Reddit ama they are doing tomorrow

I think the doctor face thing disappeared when they did several optimization passes on Doc and eventually reworked them but I don't play them much to fully remember. Assuming that's what you're referring to.
At least that's the reason I remember the static effects being toned down on doc - They would lag consoles. I'd love for more crazy effects on doc specifically though but I get its not for everyone.

The fact that you're (probably unintentionally) implying that epileptics can't be over 18 is really funny.

I agree, such a paradox that game is 18+ horror game, but in these days they removed horror vibes.

I don't even get involved in such nonsense. End of the discussion

Why do you open basically three threads about the same thing?
That some people miss those effects does not mean that they are essential for the game. Aside from you I basically see nobody asking for them to return those effects. Especially because there are still concerns regarding photosensitivity.
Yes, you might be able to disable it. Does not mean that everyone would do that, e.g. you can watch a Stream of a Streamer who has not disabled it and then the doctor hallucination pops up. And then?

What does any of this have to do with being 18+, though?

I saw a little kid, literally a "little Timmy", playing DBD on his Switch at a restaurant recently. Verbally upset because they were dying as survivor.
Easily >= 10 years old.
Made me wonder how much of the playerbase is similar.

It is good they make accessibility features.
But an option to turn some heavy effects on and off would really be great.
Some of us don´t play on low settings with filters to have every benefit. I would like the distracting effects for immersion
Clown and Sadako effects were also reduced.

I do think it was a wise choice to help mitigate problems of epilepsy or extreme phobia triggers (even for a horror game, at least in DBD's situation being an online MP one to get as many players as possible) but the option to toggle these on would be awesome.
That doc effect is amazing and I wish I played the game during that.

I think most of the PC player base is 18+ but console player base may be under it. I'm still surprised plague was added with the puking effects as that can trigger people to throw up/feel sick.

Help I am being stalked…….
not only that.... I could tell you even more stories
For me, it is simply important that I am heard. I'm holding on to that. DBD thrives on all these effects. Far too many of them have been taken out of play

i don't think age rating has anything to do with the accessibility and optimization passes that were done to this game. just because the game is rated for mature players does not mean that the developers won't make changes to features with or without the player's input. personally, i agree that these features should be able to be toggled despite me being a player that does not use or like them.
