Doctor can infinitely prevent hook saves
So thanks to a recent buffs to Doctor he can now infinitely prevent hook saves you can stunlock a survivor thats going for the save and from a distance even that anti face camp don't proc cause he can charge faster then a survivor can regain control

Im afraid someone will say "you should just do Gen then" when Gates are not powered and "killer deservs to secure a kill" when Gates are powered.

He's always been able to do this, it's very sadly nothing new, and despite being raised quite literally since he used to have Treatment Mode and Punishment Mode in his kit (as well as passive madness) nothing had ever been done. I guess it's because he's just not very popular so nobody really knows about it?

Yep and Pig can just not hook you when u have a bear trap. She then just grabs you off the box.
Drop, rinse and repeat.

Doctors never did this in his old version so I don’t think a lot of people were aware of it back then. And no one did that because he had an even BETTER way of deny the unhook - just stand next to the hook in Treatment mode and grab them when they try to save. No idea why he could grab people in Treatment mode.
Otz showed this in one of his recent videos which is probably why this is getting attention again. It will probably go back to being a rare occurrence again in a few weeks.

But hook grabs could be baited or faked or something else could go wrong. Slap on the ring shock addon and boom, impossible to unhook ever. This is not anything new. ESPECIALLY when they reworked him to remove Treatment mode, this became very common for a while, but they simply did nothing about it.
Okay but that doesn't change the fact that people have been complaining about this since 2017 when he first dropped. It doesn't matter that it's easier than ever to do so, this has always been an issue to realistically I don't see them fixing it now.

No that was the thing, you couldn't bait the hook grab in his old version. He did it in his Shock mode so you just stood there and spammed the shock button as close as possible and as soon as they attempted to unhook you would grab. They couldn't bait it because you couldn't hit them.

Even the few times I've played as/against him, I've always felt he's always felt op. I guess this is why

I feel like Doctor needs a rework. His power is so simplistic, which means any buffs he gets are limited to just using those simple tools more often. Which would be great if his power was actually interesting to use, but it's one of the most boring powers in the game.

Treatment Mode grabs were disgusting…
I'm pretty sure you can dodge the shock and then go for an unhook though, right?

That depends entirely on the addons being used (and perks). Desperate Measures can let you stack up unhook speed, same with Leader, but also detonation delay addons (Discipline?) makes it harder to do so.

Potential hot take but I'd rather remove a killer making it easy to hold a survivor on hook hostage and make them better in other ways than allow them to keep the ability to hold a survivor on the hook even better than Bubba can

Single survivor can't unhook, two survivors can. Still worse than Bubba….
