Revert Huntress

I feel the need to preface that this is coming from a P100 PS4 Huntress main of 3 years, from the 5th anniversary to the 8th. Even though I play on console, I can still win a lot of my games. I have never felt like the killer was underperforming.

The moment I saw her name on the roadmap for changes, I knew trouble was ahead. My suspicions were correct. Huntress received 3 significant buffs in the 7.6.0 PTB, 1 of which was reverted. However, Huntrees was already a killer considered to be the ideal balance for killer powers. She already performed very well before the nerfs, and most people agreed she didn't need any nerfs or buffs. To further kick Huntress fans in the teeth, teo of her best designed add-ons were reworked to add-ons never worth running and disliked by Huntrees players.

So, I am requesting that you revert the other 2 unwanted, and noticeably disliked, buffs that she had received. Additionally, it would be best to revert the changes to her 2 add-ons. Haste on Huntress is a poor design idea, especially with how amazing the add-ons were for beginners, beforehand.

It bothers me that a killer people agreed to be well designed for her entire 6 year existence had to be changed purely for the sake of making it unreasonably easy for new players, when she previously had the perfect learning curve. What this also did was make her perform too well for experienced players. She can now run 4 add-ons.

It doesn't help that the reason we were given was just excusing yourselves for not wanting to rework a single map that has been problematic since it's release. Treatment Theatre is a map with mixed opinions, but it is agreed that it is Huntress' worst map, if not Underground Complex. Not only is it bad for Huntress, but also many M1 killers that get countered by windows. The RNG on that map can cause chains of windows and pallets that can make it take minutes to get one hit.

It's a shame to see my favourite character in the entire game become less fun to play. She just isn't as enjoyable now that she is so much easier and stronger. I find more enjoyment out of Vecna now, who has replaced her as my main.

You lost a dedicated Huntress main with this one.

I mean the buffs literally were to bandaid bad map generation and designs, faster wind up means that random 400 trees that are suddenly around the map are harder to get behind and 2 extra hatchets to make up for bad locker layouts and maps with bad locker placements like badham and haddonfield. Even in the post you admitted that some maps are terrible for her so why rip the bandaid off for no reason before they get fixed

It feels less rewarding now dodging a hatchet from a skilled Huntress player. Most of the community can agree that she was in a near-perfect state pre-buffs so why change the Huntress over other killers?

Rather than change every single map in the game around a single killer they changed a killer around the maps instead

If you think she is bad to play because she is stronger then what do you expect to happen if they suddenly fixed all the maps around her (oh huntress is too easy now there are no los blockers or random objects about every area is basically wide open against her)

I think if you were on that other side of the coin right now you still wouldn't be happy in the other direction. The problem is every map has received changes that makes huntress worse on them, or new maps have locker dead zones. Corn map gens almost always have garbage generate around them which can block los. Macmillan has an infinite tree duplication glitch, Azeroth's has new garbage and rocks which spawn everywhere. Lampkin lane is a massive locker deadzone, Swamps are massive locker deadzones, Lerys is lerys, Badham is a locker deadzone, Meat plant is a pain and somehow also a locker deadzone in large areas of the map, Yamaoka maps have rocks everywhere, hawkins is hawkins, Rpd is a joke, Eerie of crows has los blocking everywhere, whithered ilse maps have the same, nostromo is terrible, toba landing can be a pain, id say all but about ~8 maps have big to massive flaws for playing as huntress not even counting the regular flaws a map has outside of that with mainbuilding syndrome and large map problems. But no lets change all these instead of just giving the killer a small bit of buffs to make up for 6 years of new maps and design changes.

I don't think it's anywhere near problematic in slightest, she is fine

her 4.4 speed barely catches up with today anyway

You're saying changing a akiller to overperform on 90% of maps just because she underperformed on two maps out of more than 40 is justifiable.

Aside from Lery's and Hawkins, all those maps you listed are ones she performs well on. Also, as you said, locker placements are the issue. So just add more lockers... Don't have her overperform because new players can't handle learning a killer that takes time and effort.

all but 8 maps is indeed 90% you are correct please hyperbolize what I said when I took a literal map list and read off each one with problems for the character that exist or were added over time
