Why is there a distinct difference between Killer/Survivor audio?
I always wear my headsets while playing DBD and have my sound always at the same level when booting up the game (because I'm very sensitive to different levels/a change in them).
However, lately, I've noticed that there is a distinct audio level difference when you play Survivor vs playing as Killer. As survivor I'm always turning my audio down nowadays because all audiocues are a lot louder.
But when I play a killer even if I'm standing right next to a wall or a floor underneath a gen I can barely hear it, and when I walk up there it's at 70-80% so I should definitely be able to hear it. Whereas not too long ago, this wasn't an issue at all. The lowered sound level is also with footsteps, vaulting, lockers, etc.
Is anyone else noticing this difference? (it is kinda the same with how scratch marks have been VERY weird lately as well)

Might just be part of their ongoing balancing changes, or they're testing something out. They don't announce every single change they make, probably in case they decide to revert it. Footsteps I think can change depending on the survivor and cosmetics though.

Oh I know, I definitely don't expect everything to get announced either, they probably do an insane amount behind the scenes. I was just wondering whether others on the forums had noticed this as well. I hope they level it out or give us an option to change things

Finally I feel validated I’ve have been saying this for months, survivor is massively louder in every way compared to killer audio wise it wasn’t always like this, I don’t know if it’s for balance reasons but killer is significantly quieter then it used to be.
