New Ds doesn't work when grabbed?

Was unhooked, ran to unhook this Claudette but I got grabbed while DS timer was ticking down and I hit the skillcheck and it gave me the points for killer stun and gave me obsession but the killer didn't drop me.
Is it bug when pulled off stuff?

It's probably a bug. It wouldn't have acted like you got it otherwise.

Definitely a bug; however, in Kill Your Friends, a killer that is not the host of the match will not be stunned by DS. I do not understand the reason for this, but if you were playing KYF, that may be why. If you were playing a normal match, it may be connected to this same issue, but I do not know for sure.
