Why Heal To 99%
Killer main here and I always see survivors heal to 99% and stop and walk around injured and when I’m chasing them they throw a pallet down then heal to 100% and then keep running. Why not just heal to 100% in the first place instead of leaving trails of blood and groaning sounds for the killer to find you and wasting a second to heal when you could have done it before instead of running after throwing down the pallet.
My assumption is to lure the killer to them and away from their teammates ? Or is there another reason.

Sometimes they run resilience and other perks to help getting gens done faster and it's only active while injured. The 99% is so they can tap themselves up when getting chased.

They probably have perks that benefit them while they are injured and want to use them before healing. People was sometimes 99 themselves when the have Resilience, for instance. Sometimes people will do it because they have DH and they wanna get it off before healing full and looping more.

I did it for dead hard if the killer is insta down type. Some do it to lure the killer to chase them I think.

either they are running dead hard and wanted to have it available (more common vs instadown killers), or they didnt heal to 99% and they used an insta-heal medkit addon.

Just taking advantage of a broken mechanic that essentially makes them take 3 hits to down.

How does that work? I don't think I've had that trigger on me yet and I run resilience a lot.

Most likely resilience

I think the idea is to do that 99% strat while carrying an instaheal, that way you can use dead hard if needed, heal after its gone, take the hit, then use an instaheal to get even more chances.
It can waste a ton of time if done efficiently, especially when paired with particularly broken loops and balanced landing. two exhaustion perks, i know, but Balanced still reduces landing stumble even when exhausted making some loops much more effective.

Makes sense. Never thought of using resilience that way.

Resilience. Dead Hard. Probably also to bait you to chase them.

Indeed, that is what I have experienced.
