Tombstone Myers

Hi guys, hope I’m reaching you stone faced killers well!

Just a quick question for tombstone myers - do you all mainly play him for an achievement? I usually jump in lockers to avoid but if I see they’re desperately going for tombstoning (you know the usual chess) then I usually give it to them.

I know it can be frustrating to not get achievements so I feel bad if I’m preventing them but at the same time not sure if it is?

Of course I’m free to play how I like and I do do not out of sympathy but because I actually like the animation lol I’ll usually play cat and mouse for a bit before I give it to them though but was just wondering if there was a ‘universal code’ for signalling it’s for an achievement?

I only played it for the achievement, but after I got the achievement I tried it a few more times. Although if a survivor jumped in a locker I would just hook them and move on.

I usually use tombstone piece because I think it’s really funny to instantly kill someone who hasn’t seen me all game. And I think it’s hilarious when it happens to me.

I never hide in lockers as survivor because it feels incredibly lame to do that but I also don’t let them have it for free.

There is no code but if he sits at a locker waiting for you to get out it’s probably for the achievement.

I got the achievement long ago. The only time I bring a Tombstone Piece of the Tombstone is if I'm doing a Daily or Rift that says kill by my own hand. It is a convenient quick way to get them out of the way fast. In general, I don't play with them because you either go against Players that have no clue and juice you up so fast you feel guilty about it, or Players who are smart and never let you get that Tombstone going until it is too late to win with a 4K. So for me, it is kind of a lose/lose even when I win. :)

i got the achievement a while ago. Sometimes i play it just for fun but not often because it's unrewarding in terms of bloodpoints and grade and also gets repetitive fast.

I been into dead-by-daylight since it started. But will never claim I am a badass in it. I only play for achievements and dailies and rifts. Because I like the challenges they possess me to go after.

But Evil Incarnate and She Kills (grabbing a survivor off a Gen in a few blinks. Have alluded me since their conception. I will never get them because there are not many in a four pair that are willing to give up the ghost to achieve Evil Incarnate.

Last time I witnessed this discussion on this forum, a few people were adamant that it was obvious Myers is going for the achievement and not giving it up as the last remaining survivor was petty.

I play it for the achievement or because I was really angry last round and knocking heads is very satisfying. But it's not my preferred way to play as Myers. I prefer low/no TR. Tombstone addon is very rare for me and I wouldn't miss it if it got reworked.

If your goal as the survivor is to wait until the server closes, it absolutely is petty.

Im a Myers main, I use double iri very often for fun, sometimes people think I'm going for the achievement and deliberately try to prevent me from getting it but then the match ends and they see im P100 so it's pretty clear i already had it long ago and their efforts to deny me the achievement was pointless lol

if it's perma tombstone and they are waiting for too long at the locker it's very likely they are going for the achievement. it's kinda petty to not jump out just to deny achievement but who cares maybe they aren't nice to other people either, at the end of the day it's a matter of how valuable your time is. you do you afterall

thanks for all your comment guys :) yeah I’d never deny a myers a tombstone because I wouldn’t want to and also like the mori animation lol was just wondering if there were DBD signals that I’d missed. Usually especially if they M1 at the air outside the locker I kind of figure they want the achievement. And even if not, there’s not much better way to go than a Myer’s Mori!
