Make the broken status effect pause when on hook
Seems pointless to me for it to let it just go through its entire duration while on hook, seems pointless. Just make the timer pause when the survivor is on hook and then it resumes once they are unhooked. Makes a lot of killer perks and addons much better this way

im a killer main myself but i gotta dissagree because that would mean almost every effect should pause as well because they are on a meat hook after being slashed/bludgeoned by a monster so they would automatically be hindered and exposed once off hook if i had things that hindered them and exposed them

I'd just personally extend some of the broken duration addons. Like twins have one that's like 20 seconds? Vecna has one that's 30? Like that isn't gonna do anything with travel hook and unhook time. 60 should be the average.

Vecna's one is actually good since it can be applied across the map. Just orb at the hook and you interrupt a heal. It also comes with the ability to break pallets with mage hand as well so there's that too.
These broken addons are really bad though and could use buffs:
They could probably also make Forced Penance 90 seconds, and buff Terminus as well. Those perks are on the weaker end, especially Terminus.

I like bubbas to. It's ironic because he has a saw but the duration is just nuts lol.

That's probably why they made it so long, because he has an instadown anyway.
Blacksmith's Hammer with the reworked Knight is a really nice one as well, I'd recommend giving it a go if you like playing him.

The one from Legion is also pretty bad. Since you want people to heal and waste time.

Yeah, arguably counterproductive, but it's not bad at applying Broken. It has it's uses with Thana/Blood Echo and the like, I think it's fine to have around for people who want it.

The Broken status is generally intended to prevent someone immediately healing after a hit.
If you've hooked them, you've already bypassed the problem that Broken exists to address.
If anything, hooking a survivor should remove any persisting Broken status, as a tunnel deterent.

You don't want everyone healthy though, because that forces you into using Frenzy when you could otherwise locate an injured survivor and down them.
As Legion you want survivors falling into the 'don't bother healing' trap so you can catch them injured. Otherwise you run around injuring everyone with Frenzy, maybe down one, then find everyone else healed up and you're back at square one.

How's that a buff to tunnelling?
Surely if a survivor's being tunnelled, they didn't have time to heal anyway?
I think this'd probably be a harmless change, it's certainly worth testing. Maybe have Mangled and Haemorrhage pause as well? It could get out of hand, but I think it has enough legs to test.

Someone who's being tunnelled is being chased directly off hook, that's what tunnelling is. If they've just been unhooked (or, to be reasonable since travel time is a thing, within ten seconds or so of being unhooked), they almost certainly didn't have time to finish a heal. Broken isn't making it easier for the killer to tunnel them here, they were going to be injured in this chase either way. That's kinda why killers tunnel, the survivor is vulnerable and out of position so the chase is easier.

Of course it makes it easier for the Killer to tunnel. That they have more time to come back to the Hook before the Survivor is fully healed helps a lot. And being broken for longer might even counter things which can help against tunneling (e.g. We Will Make It).
(Same reason I think that the Mangled- and Exhaustion-Add Ons for Pig are incredible poorly designed since the promote tunneling for the Killer which should not tunnel)
But saiying that being broken for longer would not really have an effect is just wrong.

I'm not trying to be dismissive here, I'm trying to understand your argument. That's the only perk I can think of that'd let you heal in the killer's face, and it's a pretty specific scenario to claim is a blanket buff to tunnelling in general. Even with WMI you really shouldn't be trying to heal in the killer's face like that when they're trying to tunnel, it's not that quick.
Though, when you say that the killer has longer to return to the hook… no they don't? That survivor won't be under the hook because they can't be healed. This could possibly apply to Mangled - and there'd be some back and forth to that conversation too - but it definitely doesn't apply to Broken. A survivor coming off the hook Broken is running straight away, either the killer's going to tunnel them or they're not. Broken isn't going to make it easier after they've made the decision to tunnel.

it would definitely make perks like resurgence,ftp,solidarity, worse but i think the amount of trash broken addons and perks that r in the game is a good tradeoff

I think before you discuss whether Broken buffs tunneling, having a mutual agreement on what counts as tunneling would make the conversation smoother.
To some people, the Killer going for a unhooked Survivor is "tunneling" until said Survivor has been fully healed and starts doing objectives. While I don't agree with the definition, I can see how Broken would delay the healing prerequisite.

It blocks all alternative healing methods. No syringe, no For The People, no Second Wind, nothing. It'd all get blocked.

it buffs tunneling because survivor are forced to work on generator while injured so once survivor touches a generator killer is primed to tunnel them out. this was common strategy with Sloppy butcher which is why they nerfed this perk and other related mangled add-on's like Xeno, Fragile wheeze nurse, etc. Leverage is on change list so it might be received buff to return. Probably pity change because of killer's camping ability being nerfed from 60 →70 second change. nerfing camp stocks → buff tunneling stocks.
