Let's reverse this 2v8 Question - What types of Killers DON'T you think would work in 2v8?
Just curious. I did not include Killers with simple mechanics or who primarily M1, as they would be very easy to implement.
It's obvious not every Killer is going to play very well in 2v8 without changes. If it turns out this is the case, what type of Killer do you think will most likely not be implemented or if implemented, changed very drastically?

Pig, she's already bad by herself, imagine with more survivors, she'd just sit there...

the killers get tweaked to adjust them to the gamemode so they would work better with more variables

Agree with that. How can you even make her RBTs work with 2v8?

8 traps
Everytime a gen is done, timer is reduced of 20 sec of every already activated traps. OR survivors cant see box auras before trap activation
If a killer camp a box, the box is teleported elsewhere ( like cages ) OR survivors gain endurance near a box...
Pig could be very healthy and fun in this mod.

Any killer that requires tiering up/time spent building power to unlock their kit is going to suffer in 2v8 - there just isn't enough time. Namely Myers, Nemesis, Ghost Face, etc.

Dredge probably wouldn't be a good addition because Nightfall combined with any long-range attack killer (like Huntress) would be unfair. You can just get sniped by a hatchet 24+ meters away and the survivor would have no way to know which direction the Huntress is coming from. In general, it would probably make a lot of killers' abilities too difficult to counter.
You'd probably have to add more jigsaw boxes but still limit the searches to 4. If there were still 5 boxes with 2 killers then that would bring back the exact same problem she used to have where you could make a jigsaw box totally inaccessible to guarantee death, since with 2 killers you can block 2 boxes.
Beyond that, I think it'd be appropriate to give her more traps as well, since the effect 4 traps has on a survivor team's efficiency is a lot greater when there's only 4 survivors as opposed to 8. Basically, having the same 4 traps would end up being less effective than normal since there would be 4 other survivors who never have to deal with it at all.

All killers would be fine.
They balanced 2v8 very well and was the healthiest the game has ever been.
I played both sides and it was very fun win/lose.

two killers with ways of monitoring the map or securing/locking down different parts of the map such as Singularity, Skull Merchant, etc. just feel like that team might feel oppressive… or overwhelmed by the amount of survivors no in-between tbh

Killers with any sort of "gimmick". These include, Doctor, Freddy, Pig, Plague, Ghostface, Pyramid Head, Trickster, Nemesis, Pinhead, Artist, Sadako, Dredge, Wesker, Knight, Mistake, Singularity, Xeno, Unknown and Vecna
