Castlevania Skins

Is it me or did Bhvr just go cheap on this newest chapter? The only legendary skin we received was the Alucard skin, while the rest of the Belmonts added (Leon, Simon) were just plain re-skins and the devs addressed this as Trevor just simply "Cosplaying" I don't understand how the Resident Evil and Silent Hill Chapters got plenty of Legendary Skins and were handled flawlessly while the Castlevania characters are kind of just Filler skins for the game's Chapter. I do understand the skins not being legendary for the Upcoming Tome, however I'm just confused on why they missed out on the Opportunity to even Make a Legendary Sypha Skin instead of another "Cosplay" outfit for Mikaela since they got the Netflix Alucard VA and they probably could've done the same for Sypha.

When working with anything licensed you have to work within the constrains of the license holder. It is quite possible bhvr wanted to do more but were limited by what Konami wanted

Simon and Leon could have been legendary too. They’re separate characters from Trevor. But I guess BHVR didn’t want all of Trevor’s cosmetics to be legendary.

Every legendary skin needs its own voice actor. Not to mention additional lines from Dracula if they want to maintain consistency between the unique dialogues with Dracula, Trevor, and Alucard.

Most Legendary skins come out on a drip-feed basis. It's taken two years for Resident Evil and Silent Hill to amass all their legendary skins, and it's exceptional that Alan Wake got two in short order (but that was a smaller survivor-only chapter anyway).

Not to mention Konami may have rules and restrictions on what they'll allow. The upcoming Rift is based entirely on the DS games in order to advertise the Dominus Collection they just released. Maybe if they do Rondo of Blood or Symphony of the Night remasters, that could lead to a legendary Richter skin being approved.

I'm more disappointed that the characters don't have any mix and match looks. You're locked to a whole outfit no matter what you choose. I get that it's probably a license restriction, but I get bored having the same outfit all of the time.

I'm sure they had their reasons. Whether Konami didn't give their approval for it, or the devs decided against paying extra for the characters because they weren't sure the chapter would sell well enough to justify the cost.

    I think otherwise lol.

3 skins for Trevor with one legendary.

2 Dracula skins that both are awesome and change a lot of the character. Also "kinda" unrelated but Dracula's blood prestige also change his eyes into blood-soaked eyes, which is awesome

2 future skins, one for Mikaela as Sypha and other for Kate as Maria Renard

Future Castlevania related tome wich tons of skins: one legendary for Trevor as Soma, one legendary for Dracula as Dracula's true form, one for Felix as Jonathan Morris, one for Yui Kimura as Shanoa and another one for Nurse as Death.

If anything, they have went absolutely insane with the Castlevania skins.
