I pray that Dead by Daylight 2 is in the making with a engine made from the ground up without anyone of us knowing.

Last thing I heard about a potential DBD2 was that they have no plans to do so. I imagine looming large would be the licence issues and deals to make any of those carry over, it at all possible.
Sad too, as it would an opportunity to recode the game from scratch. Maybe throw in a replay system of some sort to lessen the player burden of proper reporting and for seeing our own gameplay too. Allow for a reconnect ability as well. A thorough optimization. Etc.

If you think a complete code refactor will prevent any bugs from ever happening again then you're naive.

May I introduce, the Fallout series. Years of garbage code on top of garbage code. I don't know why some have this naive notion that if BHVR were to takes steps to destroy their only cash cow, that they would do it from the ground up.
