EAC (easy anti-cheat) issues
Do we all agree that EAC has been giving issues ever since the last update that happened for Castlevania chapter? Filters debate aside, performance issues have been common.
I just got this screen while loading into a match and I do not understand anything. I have never used even perk icon packs, and the only extension I have ever used (if can be called that) were Nvidia filters until they got deactivated this last chapter.
I reported it already, but I wanted to post about it here to see if it is a general issue going on and people are getting problems with EAC malfunctioning.

EAC has always been a thorn in this game's side. It does very little to prevent actual cheaters but regularly causes issues.
This patch is no exception. The time it takes to initalise EAC is much longer than previous for reasons unknown.

Yes I have also been experiencing this too! I also had some random frame drops that for example don't happen to me on any other game (even much more GPU "needy" games)… But this thing that just happened to me of kicking me out of the server just left me so weirded out. It looked like the game was normal after it, but I did not want to risk some kind of ban by mistake or something so I closed it and won't open until I get feedback on my report. I literally do not understand anything and concerns me.

I am sorry this has happened to you as well. I've lurked on twitter and some people are posting these days that they've been getting this daily, and it even crashes the lobbies and their friends get stuck. I am a little concerned about this issue, especially since I've never used that has to deal with the game files at all.

Yeah I kept getting this randomly last week, i verified my files and haven't seen it since. I haven't altered any files for any reason. EAC doesn't seem to stop cheaters it just seems to prevent normal players from being able to play these days.

Same error number and Authentication time out (which I don't even know what could mean lol)? It's so odd… Hope they fix this issue soon, just for performance alone

Since the last update my PC is having more problems running the game, I'm playing with fewer frames than before, idk why this is happening.

I was just experiencing this error after Steam maintenance.
Restarting the game seems to have fixed it.

Same number and Authentication time out? Thought about verifying my files but I am waiting for a response from the support team, sent them a ticket with this issue to know the reason and prevent it from happening again

the only difference I see is that i recieve (1/2) where you get (2/2), you should just verify your files regardless it won't hurt, but it may not help.

I see I see… Thanks for sharing it. Hopefully I can get some help from the support team through my ticket and clarify this situation, or even here if a dev who checks the forums can help out. I am so confused and even scared to play if it can affect even my friends as I read that has happened to some people.

I just had this Error (only with (1/2) instead of (2/2)) seconds before the lobby timer went to 0. I restarted the game and it was fine for the next match, but now I am a bit scared, because it's an EAC error that sounds like it could get me in trouble.
I never did anything sus. I only use personal icons (I have been for over 5 years without issues), AMD Adrenaline and in this case Windows Game Bar to record the match. Could it be that EAC did not like the Game Bar recording software?

Try verifying the files! I did it when I posted this discussion and have not gotten this issue ever since. It can still happen eventually, but I noticed people who did not verify their files are gettting it very often. I guess it's something they're aware of and a well known issue at the moment, I see even streamers getting it while live. I want to think there is nothing to fear and they're aware of EAC being funny!
