There is nothing but blight, nurse, spirit, huntress or wesker in my games
Every day its the same thing. Its either a blight, a nurse, spirit, huntress or a wesker
I get they are most popular pick or meta but im tired of the lack of killer variety in my survivor games. there are a bunch of killers to choose from but there are only 5 they will choose.

I mean playing a killer thats rewarding feels good, playing a killer that requires a lot of effort to get deminishing results feels bad. so people are more inclined to play killers that they know their input will have a proportional or higher reward. Why play something like freddy or ghostface where a good killer play is easy af to counter and your effort does nothing whatsoever.
Also much like in any game, people will just play whats "good" or easy, so tierlist and content creators saying certain killers are good will reinforce people playing them.

And all I see is either a Feng, Nicolas Cage, Alucard or Sable.
Every day its the same thing. Agree. :D

i think people play killer that are fun. part of the having fun as killer is the killer power being strong and fulfilling to use. lots of killer powers are not fulfilling to use.

This exactly. I want to like singularity, for example, but it's not exactly a friendly killer to people learning. Not to mention their power is countered so easily and for so little reward- there isn't much point playing them. (seriously, Hux's power is just breaking pallets and vaulting windows faster. I could do that with perks without having to set up ahead of time)

This sums it up nicely.
Overall I'd just add that many players believe they must run the strongest killers with the best stuff to win. Could be seeing content creators doing so, or believe them when they say it. Could be convinced they need to for handling better survs. Could be they lack confidence in their own abilities with the rest of the killers.

it’s a negative loop, people play fun but weak killers, they get wiped by one too many bully squads then they choose a strong character (whether or not it’s still as fun) to counter it, then a normal group meets the sweaty killer and get mad and become a bully squad.

It's the developers and streamers fault who influence these events... I haven't seen a normal m1 for at least 50 games, all huntress nurse pyramid head Dracula... it doesn't make sense to play a trapper or a clown where there are lots of kids who see those subspecies of Comp players who pre-drop a 5th gen pallet shack... this game used to be much more skill based... now there's the trend of Windows of opportunity... which lets you see every window and pallet without cooldown... completely ruining the learning of how a loop or a map is made... it's become just a I see pallet I throw away pallets and my team genrush. One of my favorite streamers who is otz recently made a video against tunneling... do we realize that it's considered a crime now? You can't find the survivors of 5 years ago anymore, now every game is challenging and tunneling is MANDATORY if you play to follow the killer's objective which is the kills, like the survivor's objective is to close the gen. To get back to your point, people are tired of using low tier killers, there were many more killers once but slowly they will send them all to the D tier category because "we have to preserve the soloq" as if there was still a "Soloq" in this game. Freddy was an example, totally destroyed at random with addons that make you laugh, because the main survs cried, now it's the turn of the skull merchant because "the powerful desk main survs" called FogWispers don't like it. Do you want to improve this game? Put a Soloq ranked mode without premade, where there is a mmr based on the single player and not on the player with 45 hours in a team with a friend who has 10,000 and you will see that this game will change

Killers are to be put in tier list based on who you find against, it is normal that if you find 4 quiet people with a clown you make a massacre, but when you find people who know how to play, it is obvious to anyone which killer can compete against anyone and which cannot, and yes, they are always the same 5 killers, because from the upper levels of command they want it that way. Why do 3/4 killers have addons that oneshot and others do not? Why can only 1 killer kill you when he reaches a certain level of his power and the other killers cannot? Wrong decisions that affect the health of the game, you can nerf as much as you want, but they are the wrong bases, the foundations

It doesn't really matter if BHVR changes certain killers. Some are just more fun to play than others.

fun for survivors or for killer? do you have fun against spirit? do you have fun against nurse? maybe gideon, i don't think so.

if they keep nerfing the low and mid tier that's all you'll find and it won't be fun

Both Nurse and Spirit are fun to play against. They require different skills when compared to other killers, which is much more interesting than just running around a rock and dropping a pallet.

I doubt those are the only killers you face

he has teleport but i think his overdrive duration is too low. another aspect i do not understand for hux is why his power does not disable after 1 hit because his overclock prevents him from teleporting so it would be buff for him to hit someone and than lose overclock. I'd personally increase his overclock duration to like 12 seconds but make his overclock turns off after successfully hitting a survivor.
A lot of player rate singularity as strong killer but i think he is one of the most overrated killers. To me, he feels like m1 killer with big speed buffs that he can't use in chase to zone or mindgame windows. his current design suggests that they're trying to make him this weird version where he is suppose time teleport at specific points to get hits but if survivor knows these points, it is very hard to get hits when survivor understand the counter-play to his overclock teleport.
I think veteran killer players don't really enjoy going into a match where their odds to win are like skewed on 7:3. they'll load into a match where the map is badham preschool, lose and than just not want to play that killer because they got automatic L on the map out of their control. the player will play what they feel comfortable with.

Pick rates of those killers are:
Huntress - 5.66%
Mastermind - 4.04%
Blight - 3.28%
Spirit - 3.02%
Nurse - 2.55%
Total - 18.55%
Statistically speaking, you should only encounter one of them in less than one in five games. Those killers are considered some of the most competitive killers in the game so if you are a really high MMR survivor then you are bound to encounter them more. But something tells me every game is a gross exaggeration.

It doesn’t help that some are clunky/unintuitive to learn. I really liked Pyramid Heads design and power but when I finally tried him, it felt like I was being punished for trying to use his power. I’m not interested in punishing myself over and over in order to learn something when it should feel fun and make you want to keep playing them.

Nerfs the perks that help weaker killers compete
"Why are Killer mains only playing strong killers?

I would appreciate the Huntress and Wesker games a lot more then. They're leagues more interactive than the top 3.

but seriously do you believe that mmr exists? bro…8 years of bvhr didn't teach you anything? it's a myth…it doesn't exist…just because the content creators they pay say it exists…
