Do you think this will work?

Indeed, it could. I would really like The Boys to have a chapter, it could fit very well.

Meh, not really. Yea he's evil, but thats it. Doesn't really fit the whole DbD theme.

Doesn't really make sense having him somehow be swallowed up by the Entity and put into its realm. It'd just feel weird.

Personally I think it would be a blast if done right. And while it would not make the most sense, I still think it could fit well with the essence of this game.

Wesker fits 100x more. He's dark, he belongs to RE, and actually has 'monster-like' powers.

    • Uroboros Virus: A virus developed by TRICELL. If Wesker uses an unusually large amount of Uroboros, he will turn into a monstrosity. It increases his strength and durability, as well as granting him a few new abilities.
      • Body Manipulation: Wesker extends his limbs as if they were tentacles, spin the metallic pieces on his arms fast enough to use them as a drill.
      • Tendrils: Can fire his tendrils, which absorb energy from their victims. He can also spin his tendrils fast enough to create tornadoes.

Homelander's just some guy that was brought up in a lab and bio-engineered by a company for their own gain, who happened to turn evil. + he can fly. It makes no sense adding him in. Especially when were still missing iconic characters like Jason, The Thing, IT, etc.

I don't see home lander ever coming to DBD. He's isn't a horror icon he's just a murderer. Don't really care for him much either he's like a school bully with no real combat experience abusing the powers he was given.

Wesker though worked for his goals and powers, IS from an iconic horror IP, mostly responsible for releasing hell on earth with all the zombie viruse.

In a Home Lander vs Wesker battle I'll give the edge to Wesker having many years of real experience and intelligence.

Perhaps, but IMO Homelander is kinda just a pathetic dude.

Got power, sure, but he uses it in a kind of unintelligent hedonistic manner.

Fear of him is just your generic: This thing can kill me at its whim.

If it's just for the licensing $$$, sure. People do like superhuman abilities (especially flight/strength). I just think that as a character he'd be bland af (Though the actor portrays him phenomenally).

Personally the only thing that would interest me in such a chapter is the mechanical implementation of his "Power"/Perks.

It would fit for me. The Entity wants good Killers, and with Homelander it has a sociopath who can kill without a care, yet is mentally vulnerable and almost childlike in his mannerisms, making him easy to manipulate for an eldritch horror.

If I was the Entity, I'd definitely take him. It would be interesting to see what power he would have and how it would be implimented. I'm assuming he'd move like "The Dark Lord" and perform dash attacks, or use laser eyes or whatever.

This actually made me giggle. Wesker, who is a...lemme check my notes here..."a guy who got superhuman powers from a shady pharmaceutical company with plans for world control" fits in DBD. Homelander however is SUPER different. He's a -flips through notes- "guy who got superhuman powers from a shady pharmaceutical company with plans for world control." It's different because one company made things with tentacles while the other company...oh wait...also made things with tentacles.

Seriously, the only really difference between these is the color scheme, and DBD has already shown it doesn't mind having killers that ARNT dark colored monstrosities. Just look at Trickster for an example of that. This isn't even taking cosmetics into consideration like Naughty Bear.

Your description of Homelander fits Billy and Huntress really well, lol. He'd fit right in.

While Wesker started as a human character, his actions and transformations throughout the series blur the lines between humanity and monstrosity. He can no longer be considered fully human, as his physical and biological makeup have been significantly altered by the Uroboros virus and his own experiments. His humanity is compromised, and he exists in a gray area between human and monster.

Show me a scene from either the comics or the show with Homelander using these 'tentacles'. Oh wait..

Homelander is like someone else stated, just an insecure egocentric bully who happens to fly. An evil superman w/ dumbed down powers (Superman would kick his butt). He's already in MK, he fits into a fighting game much more than a 'horror' genre like this.

And Trickster is an OG killer, its a lot harder to criticize a character w/ no base to draw from (and even then, he was criticized quite a bit @ launch).

I never said Homelander himself had tentacles, just that the shady company that made the pharmaceuticals resulted in MANY different transformations...including tentacles.

DBD has characters from basically ALL range of the killer spectrum. How can you say that Homelander doesn't fit, but a murderous Teddy bear and a K-pop idol fit just fine?

Yea IK the company has done that to OTHER people but that isn't Homelander. Were talking specifically about Homelander and Wesker.

Also Butcher in the comics, turns out to be the omega villain (which I think the show is leaning towards in the final season). By the end, Butcher has Kimiko, Frenchie and Mother's Milk killed. The only one he spares is Hughie, and Homelander is long dead by this point (thanks to Black Noir). If anything, I'd argue Butcher as fitting a lot more into DbD since he literally lets the parasite/worm in him (on the show) take over essentially and you can see his humanity is near gone (where as its completely gone in the comics by the end-game). But we aren't there yet in the story so a lot of people do and will believe (at least till then) that Homelander is the big bad.

Cmon man, Teddy Bear is a cosmetic that only came out last year. I'm talking about the character, the backstory/personality, the powers they have, etc.. not a cute comedic cosmetic that just came out not too long ago. As for Trickster, a lot of people criticized him as well at launch, whether it was for his throwing knives or the color scheme being too vibrant. It wasn't like Trickster came out and everyone only had nice things to say.

IDK man, I just don't see him fitting in. How is he going to chase people? Just like every other killer, when he can fly at near supersonic speed? A pallet's going to stop him? It just …seems odd and silly.

There's so many better choices to pick from IMO.

The fact remains that Homelander still inspires horror and fear in the hearts of civilians (and not civilians as well) and could be fun to play as. It would definitely fit with a little work done.

A pallet is going to stop him the same way a pallet stops every other killer in the game. The entity nerfs killers to make things "fair". You arnt arguing that Freddy couldn't possibly be in the realm when he can do THIS...

No one is arguing over how Dwight would die from Freddy twitching his finger and being tossed across the map to land on a hook.

Sadako also fits in just fine even though most matches last 10-15 minutes rather than 7 days. The entity tweeks the rules to make a killer and their power set fit.
