So I'm making a concept design for Huntress based on a spider however a friend compared the spider legs to dreadlocks, I don't want this to be the intention at all and they'll be coloured like spider legs so I was curious on people's opinions. Should I leave it as is or change it.

    The "beauty" is a very subjective thing.

    You're gonna hear 238723 different "expert opinions"…

    So if you're the artist - follow your heart and do how YOU like. Then share a completed version.

    Google images for dreads seem to indicate that they have many more strands than just 4.

    Even if it comes across as dreadlocks to some, it doesn't seem like it'd be a harmful association and possibly could serve as a reason to purchase/pick up such a cosmetic.

    Though I'd still keep it in mind to be spider-themed (and not try to bias your design around trying to make it look more like dreads) and just do what you were originally going to do.

    Tysm my aim is spider legs it was just a friend mentioned it looked like dreads which wasn't my intention. Ty for the response
