Tbf, people from 2017 wouldn't of been opposed to Freddy's rework. Most people were on the side that he needed one.
Of course we know better now, since it turned out to be sort of a disaster3 -
- Freddy has become the worst nerfed killer in this game's history.
- You can unhook without BT and not worry about farming your teammates.
- Haddonfield has become an incredibly killer sided map.

Not just the rework, the whole story. The nerf that followed and then over two years left to rot? It would be a shock.

End game collapse and prestige system revamp are a couple things I haven't seen mentioned so far that were huge changes. But Chucky and Xenomorph as killers, Nicolas Cage as a survivor and 2v8 as a game mode are probably the things that would shock players the most. I remember when non-human or at least humanoid killers weren't supposed to ever be added. Also Chucky just seemed impossible to add to the game. How would the killer even see through all the foliage or over walls? How would Chucky hook survivors? Give credit to BHVR where it is due. They had perfect answers for both those questions. It seemed unlikely that we would ever get alternate game modes. That is something we've asked for forever. So to get alternate game modes at all is great and 2v8 in particular is shocking.

There are just so many alternatives these days. It's not terribly shocking that with 3 new perks coming for each killer added that new aura reading perks would come along. What is shocking to me though is that Nurse's Calling never really changed in all that time. So many perks been nerfed and buffed over the years but I don't recall any changes to Nurse's Calling. It's probably criminally underplayed now. It's still a really good perk and finding players when they are at their most vulnerable is worth the perk slot. I think I'll dust this perk off and load it up now that I think about it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Now that I think about it, I definitely shouldn't tell myself about Freddy.
Because if the GeneralV from 2018 knew what would happen to Freddy, they wouldn't keep playing DBD. And if I didn't keep playing DBD, then I wouldn't be here to talk about this topic of time travel.
It would create a paradox.

- dbd is full of cheaters that are live streaming and it takes bhvr two weeks to review videos that are 20 seconds long showing flying survivors
- a ultra high ping massivly increase your chance of winning as killer
- sexuall harassment (humping) is not and offence

Technically they have a sort of flamers (when aganist alien) anyway... Slightly smaller maps but with more pallets (most of them unsafe, but the safe ones are God pallets and cannot be mindgamed), BT basekit feature for survivors and you can't camp due to anticamp mechanics added into the game, all gen regression perks butchered into oblivion, a lot of killers nerfed (some of them completely killed like Freddy, deathslinger and skull merchant, but at least the doctor will become a decent killer) and the MOST ANNOYING THING: we're gonna live forever and bbq lost their multiplier bonus for bloodpoints (incentivizing tunneling even more btw)... I could wrote an essay, but i'll stop here

The problem wasn't that they didn't check their email. It turned out the artist was dyslexic and mistyped their email in the application. It happens.
