Is plague worth the money?

I have a lot of fun playing as her but I think the insta heals should be removed. Everything else is great :)

She's fun to play against, if only because I can't stop laughing as I wretch my guts out when she gives me Hamthrax.

I may not have as many hours as most people here (about 500-600 on console, 250 on PC)... but from my experience and in comparison to the other killers:

Is she powerful?: Not particularly, no. You need a lot of addons to make her more viable.

In low ranks?: absolutely. Rank 20 - 14 ish you can massacre / 4K lobbies with no perks or attachments at all. ESP. With the gen block.

Is she fun?: so far, I’m having a blast with her. Downing people from over walls and pallets, having people quit out of sheer terror or frustration - it’s great. Animations and graphics are nice, but the paid costumes could be better.

Worth the money?: IMO, yes. It’s only several bucks and gives you an entirely different way to experience the game. Although sub par in high ranks, she’s a refreshing change for a killer main. If you’re worried about buying the next Freddy, you’re safe. The next nurse? Way off.

I’d say mid-tier killer, cool mechanics, but all perks aside from the generator restriction to slow the match down are pretty underwhelming.

Yeah I agree I think the fountains should just remove infection. But then again I enjoy getting corrupt bile and vomiting on loopers because she is good with loopers sometimes.

They reduced her movement speed from 115% to 120% and when you "charging mode", your movement speed slows down to 110%.

The strategy in PTB was to run Ruin,Play with your food,Monitor and BBQ with Vile effectiveness and worship tablet. You'd use lower terror radius to sneak up on people, break them, 1 hit them, than hook them. Use BBQ to find your Obsession, Now you can gain movement speed and 1-hit people with single swing. When enough fountains are corrupted, you could begin taking fountains powers and you'd have huge movement speed bonus with ranged attack creating powerful anti-loop tool.

The nerf in charge mode makes it so that you have to run charge-speed add-on for Vile and Corrupt otherwise you can't use your power correctly. The movement speed nerf weakened her anti-loop tool making full heal a benefit to survivors. She's like a new Freddy now.

The DLC isn't worth it, "oh but wait, what about that head-on perk", The head-on perk is easily countered by a killer. If you suspect someone is in a locker, you'll approach locker, If they attempt to use the perk, you press M1, hit them as survivor is in animation of jumping out of the locker and take the stun(but you'd be in recover swing animation anyway) and follow scratch marks and if they don't use it, they get instant downed. Solidarity is poor replacement for Self-care. I don't know why they bother releasing conditional perks like Poised as it would be better if they released a perk that you press a button and scratch marks disappear for 5 seconds rather than putting silly conditions for such effect.

The killer perks aren't much better either. Corruption Intervention does not prevent gen rushing, what it does is funnel survivors in the middle of the map, so it's tracking perk for 25% of the match duration, why would anyone run a tracking perk for a quarter of the match. Dark devotion has too little duration for you to find a survivor with 0 terror radius and Infectious fright was semi-nerfed in ptb as it used to show aura of survivors for 5 seconds instead of notification.

in my opinion, Bad killer, Bad survivor perks and Bad killer perks. Buy only if you want Survivor's Jane skin. It's probably worst update to date.

Shes great and fun. Everyone mad about her movement whe charging is just pissy shes not JUST like they wanted from ptb and got a balance. If you get looped spitting, stop spitting.

But for real. Shes great. Vomit on things as a pseudo surveillance. People think you're wasting time on a puke and bam you hit them with your M1. Or when they use a pallet you already infected to loop you, and the work is done FOR you.

Imo shes great. Well balanced, and fun to play as or against.

I asked for short reasoning behind your statement not an outdated meme.

She can't go faster than 115%. That's "normal" movement speed without the possibility to temporarily go faster unlike strong killers like Nurse (333% blink), Hillbilly (230% default chainsaw speed) or Spirit (176% default phase walk) which greatly decreases the Plagues map pressure potential.

Also her instadown is never instant unless the survivor plays REALLY bad. Good players will loop her and dodge the vomit for almost a minute before they go into the broken state and the Plague still has to get a hit at this point.

I DID manage to instadown several survivors in a few seconds myself but those survivors ran in a perfectly straight line allowing the vomit to connect completely. If the survivor zig zags and breaks line of sight using any given object the puke will only connect to a small extent NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU AIM for the mere reason the vomit flies too slowly.

The Plague gets bullied by any semi-decent SWF team. And no - her ability doesn't slow down the game. Gen rushers don't give a damn about the broken effect. They just keep repairing the gens which causes the Plague to become a pure M1 killer with no ability.

Even the Plague's blood vomit causes her to lose momentum as she has to walk all the way across the map to get to the fountains. And even with the blood vomit a good survivor will not go down quickly.

If you 4k all the time it's because you're facing bad survivors. Prove me wrong and post some of your gameplay against decently looping survivors or SWF who route from one pallet and window to another. I'm waiting.

I would rather buy legion than plague, it's a lot more efective but he's/she's like her: it depends so much in the add-ons you use. a mid-tier legion player with frank's mixtape can end chases as fast as a good nurse does.

Plague is weak IMO just go to a LOS breaking loop cut corners and boom she is destroyed.
