The devs should be ashamed of what they did to dead hard
The perk is horrible at least give survivors the chance to use it more than twice. It’s trash no point in running it can’t even be used in deep wound. So sad to see such a fun perk from back then become a laughing stock perk.

Nah im glad its gone it wasnt healthy for the game

What? It's still one of the best perks in the game. I do NOT miss the days of seeing Dead Hard on every single survivor. Even 1 successful proc can be game-changing. DH is fine the way it is now and does not need any more changes.

Ah yeah, 2 guaranteed health stages against every m2 killer isn't enough. Perk is in top-10 only because people love to use "trash perks", right.

it wasn’t but it was so fun to use 😩

it does need changes it’s not a good perk anymore you can’t gaslight me into thinking it is.

Remember comparatively Mettle of Man used to be the strongest perk in the game because it provided 1 free health stage

Don't take the troll bait guys.

Dead hard is still a really strong perk, it's still one of the most used perks after 2 nerfs, do you think that would be the case if it was trash?
The only thing that changed is that it isn't "press E to win" anymore because you actually have to time it right, it was limited to 2 uses because it was still insanely strong after the first nerf. Now it's ether a insane tool to make tunneling harder if you use it in a place with loops near you AND if you don't get tunneled it's still insane to extend chases especially because no one expect it xD
It's in some situtations even stronger than old dead hard because you can body block with it now xD

it was also a guaranteed health state against M1 killers on windows and pallets too, but average survivor player was just simply too lazy to realize that, they instead thought "ohh, i will try to use it while holding W" and then think it's weak because killer baits it out of them

If it’s still a top 5 perk in its current state, imagine how overpowered it must have been back then. This forum would be healthier if all members had to provide proof of playing as killer for a few hours. We wouldn’t be seeing posts like these if that were the case.

it is not a top 5 perk

Yeah ok. I played vs that old dead hard and i remember a whole lot of killer players complaining about it which were valid. Those same killer players that were happy to see any other exhaustion perks now complain about them. The current dead hard is fine. Trust me you don’t want to play vs a perk that grants immunity

I think the current iteration of DH is fine, I wouldnt mind them changing it back to the distance thing to kinda make it stronger, but the 2 uses per game seems like a good place to me.

When I started posting on these forums, I was thinking that too.
But now, I agree with the general opinion, Dead Hard is fine.
That being said, I'm not sure why does it still give Exhaustion when it's almost irrelevant to the perk.

No, still a top 10 perk.

I think its fine except 1/2 second is a little too short considering all the latency issues.

I think mostly so you can't combo it with other exhaustion perks.

Dead Hard getting shot was the best decision the devs have ever made

The only thing the devs should be ashamed of is not giving Dead Hard a better animation by now.

Absolutely. OG DH was the most busted OP, low skill perk in the history of the game, and it survived that way for years. They'd have been justified in taking out behind the barn an putting it down for good, and burying it. The day it was nerfed and so many mid players had to face how it had hard carried them was glorious.
All the devs did was limit its uses and make it actually require a hint of skill to use effectively.

Interesting that seeing your comments you say it is both not good and not fun to use, and yet i am seeing it, if not on every game, then in every other game.
Dunno, for a "non fun and not good" perk its one of survivors most used perks.

this perk shouldn't exist in the first place imo…

Its obviously not for you, but DH is still a true menace if used right. As others have said, its provides a chance when survivors are exposed in an area where they should absolutely go down and I have seen such incredible uses of DH that I am truely happy that its not meta anymore.
The big thing is that you as the killer have to suppress your urge to hit a survivor when they obviously bait you by turning and running into you. Now that DH isn't absolute in every game anymore it has a fair chance of working against me (shame, shame), but there have also been many occasions where I correctly called out the DH and let the survivors waste it. All this years of abuse by DH left their marks on me.

With old DH you always had a chance to survive if you messed up in a chase, it's good that it was changed.
